IMO i think someone is also making a A1GP for GP4 and trying to stop us from doing our mod.

...i work for a games company. I have no interest in making a GP4 mod to rival yours. I was giving you advanced warning that legal problems may come about with this mod.

@six degrees: If you think me "going pro" is utter bs then thats your opinion, but thats not taking effect until 2008 anyway.
I mostly keep a cool head around this forum because i hate fighting talk, but i'm just hissed off that this copyright issue coming up again like nobody knows about it. It comes up to much, we should all forget about it and enjoy our hobby.
because thats what all this is... just a hobby.

So if A1GP came along and told you to stop making the mod, you'd refuse?

ok well answer my question... IF they tell us to stop doing it... if we say yes, and we dont post anymore progress on it here, but we keep doing it, when it will come to an end, how will they know?

if we pass some links to people to download it example rapishare or warever those kinds of sites are called, how will they know?

hmmm... btw, what will they do if we say ''no'', they will bring us to court coz we are doing a mod of a game for fun ???

pretty much it, yup. fun or no, copyright infringement is illegal and is something the A1GP boys were clamping down on. Altho now maybe they have more important things on their mind with trying to keep the series going...

Because they arent stupid. If you gave it out via rapidshare as soon as the link reached them they could use the IP from rapidshare to trace you and then legal action

Basicly, if they tell you to stop, you stop. If you dont they will find out eventually. If they dont tell you to stop then thats ok, but i think your looking at a dead project here

im just pissed coz all that, we are just doing the mod and thats it... if they come and they say something, we will stop it but if not i dont know why are we are having this anoying subject...

I think we should stop about that copyright , i and others are here to make this mod , if they tell us to stop then we will stop but atm we wont stop becouse they dont say it .

I think it will be a good idea if we shut our mouth about this great project till everthing is finished. Then relaese it maybe by bittorent...i think there are a lot of people who do that with other stuff and they are not suit by any laywers sow..

You do know that they can sue you if you don't comply with a cease and desist order.

i think you guys need to work with msn and not this forum, here a1gp can find it and will stop it, on msn they cant find it, so you guys can work fine on it etc. than not upload it but send it over msn to everyone, and don't set names in it who maked it ? so if someone upload it they can't find who maked it

okay then project 'closed...' ...till release lol
i can contact all the helpers by msn i think, so then this will be a quiet mod till its finished
