Zeppelin's Work Thread - No more Track editing

Hi all,

I wasn't going to post anything on my new projects until they were well into development, but I figure that sooner or later I'm going to need some help with the graphics because as I've said before, my 3D modelling skills are terrible ;)

So far I've made a start on the 2005 layout using Google Earth, and the track along with the pitlane is accurate to about 0.7% with turns n all. Next I'll work on 91 / 94 when I find some decent pictures to work with.

Here's my start though on 2005 :)

Great, Zep, I was beginning to think you would only solve other track's problems for the rest of your life ;)

Shame I don't know a thing about modeling too... :(

FANTASTIC! DID I SAY FANTASTIC? I MEAN INCREDIBLE! You don't know how often I wished we had Estoril to race on, but I kept quiet because I figured no one else would feel the same, and besides, I don't know squat about creating a track.

Thank you for undertaking this, I look forward to your efforts!

Thanks for the link Flick, but I've already used it and it's only going to be of limited use in terms of making the whole track (run-offs etc)

@b-tone: If the facilities haven't changed much (better if not at all) between 88 and 91 then you're pictures would be great :)

@Fongu: I'll take a look around for some footage/pictures which should help both of us out

Tom, check here --> [www.f1archives.com]

there's an onboard lap with Schumacher in 1991, maybe it could be helpful for heights or something

I'm against sigpics

Cheers, I visit that site quite a bit so I should have spotted it ;)

As for heights, I'm going to use GE as it does elevations in metres, so I should be able to do a rough conversion which should at least look like the real heights :)
