Because what I posted keeps happening and it only goes away if I create a 1 sector cc-line section. :S

do what Tony said, get 3deditor 16.4, displace the whole track, and you'll be fine :)

I'm against sigpics

Remember you got a limit of 150 sections for the cc-line.

My Grand Prix 4 Files

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?

i'm making a track that has quite a steep downhill bit, and noticed if i try doing it with no front wing i tend to take off. nice effect :)

i'm still having the same bin problems i've always had. should it be visible from cockpit but not t-cam? or chase cam? mine are a bit random.

what does the 'cover side line as monaco' do for bins?

oh, and it shoule be 'Track Length' ,-)

Basically, the side lines are the white lines down the side of the track, if you're doing a street circuit then I think it's a nice touch :)

If you're doing a fresh track, try importing just the TRACKxx objects from a .3ds and see if that works. If the last sector overlaps, then delete that and add from .dat in the .gp4 and it should work.

Don't forget to delete the last sector in the .dat before you make the .bin :)

When you've finished your cc-line, you have to do the track again for about 15 sections. To let it work in game, you have to delete them one by one until it works. When I've deleted a sector, do I have to create a new bin-file?

@ b-tone: It should be should ;)

@B-tone: be sure to remove any original TRACKxx object to be sure the .bin file "applies" to new TRACKxx objects.

ok, thanks. i think i know the problem but won't go into for fear of embarrassing myslef :o

i dont know if its known, but theres an issue with displacing. if you go to graphics->scenes->scene X->and displace an object, then with displace still elected you go to "Physics" the dat makes the same dispacement the last object did.

Yeah, just select the cc-line and it's fine :)

@b-tone: Really...well, I will fisx it as soon as possible then. Thanks for the report.

About report, some french guys told me that sometimes the .dat track was displaced for no reason. Is one of you ever encountered this and has one of you understood how to reproduce this bug ?
I would really like to fix it in next version but I still havn't find how to reproduce it.

With the .gp4 and .dat open? It's because the .dat is selected at the same time as the .gp4 object so it gets confused and displaces both :)

@b-tone and zeppelin: Thanks to your reports I was able to fix this trouble with .dat for next 3deditor version :)

good to hear :)

is the problem with floating cars on banking a problem with 3de or is it unfixable?

I've been told it's a coding issue, and I'm sure that when the main bulk of updates are under-way he may look into it :)

Of course, this is only what Lo2k told me when I asked about the problem a little while ago

ok.
any idea if the track will need rebuilt once/if its fixed?
the default indy has the problem, so maybe its not so easy to do?
a dummy track could be a back up plan ;-)

is there something track related that makes me jump start all the time at a certain track?

Yes, it is a coding issue. I did some programming on banking recently. So lets hope the best from it :)

Yep, thanks to Patrick, banking 3ded display and thus banking computed in .bin/.col files will be better soon.
Anyhow it will need to re-convert .dat track to .gp4 I'm afraid.
