@Lo2k - do you know if the GP3 'Tighter/Wider' value has any equivelant in GP4?

Good news guys!

I made some test yesterday, in the fact I spend my day over tests. About flickering pitlane, I "acoxambrated" (Brazilian expression that means "made in the tighs", some solution not very well made :D) the pitlanes, and they stopped flickering. All my pitlane objects are now bridges. I think that we can use bridges as track decals, cannot we?

But the great thing I think I did, is that I took control over the terrible ESC CTD. I tested in both WIP tracks I'm working on, and worked. The last sector must be longer then the rest of the sectors. This will cause a "Erreur" in 3DEditor when adding track from .dat. Then you must delete the last trackxx object (as you can see, you'll get the same error when select it with graphics on and camera unfixed, and nothing will be highlighted).

As usual, delete the last sector to create the bin and voilá, the things are ready.

I can proudly announces that I'm not seeing any bug in my tracks now.

Thanks for all, Laurent! Mercy beaucoup!

@Erwin: well, since v12, many things happened...and amongst them I surely reworked on the whole 3D file format input/output but if nobody report me troubles, I keep the past changes...

@B-tone: It has been replaced by B4/B5 track width commands.

@Auradrummer: Merci :)
Hmm, this trouble with the last pitlane sector is still quite a nonsense for me but as I'm not creating much fantasy tracks, it should be a matter.
the last TRACKxx object is causing an error too ? damn !

ok thanks. i'll look into when i get time.

is the B4/B5 the actual visable widths?

we were talking about far from default sets (touring cars, old f1 etc) which probably work better with re worked cc lines, and Roberto Scandura says: "it's the tigher/wider value wich makes the cars anticipate the braking forcing to stay on the ccline."

if i lower the dtm's braking force they just miss corners. hopefully theres some 'easy' tweak to cc line that will enable better use of lower braking forces / heavier cars.

Laurent:

Sorry, I read my post again, and forgot to tell you that the problem isn't at pitlane sectors, but at track sectors. Everything I said about last sector is referring to the track, no pit.

I only changed my pitlane to bridges, to get them over the .bin, so it stop flickering.

That's it ;)

no nothing.
i want to figure it out, and Roberto´said the "tighter/wider" value is a good way to effect it.
but i havent tested wether the GP4 equivelants - B4/B5 - do the same thing

hopefully i can test it in the weekend.

I personaly don't know how CC-car speed and behaviour is computed from cc-line, so I can't tell you much on how set cc-line for DTM cars...maybe Patrick will find here a new subject to add to his list ;)

Hello again, Laurent, a little question: do you plan to insert a feature that creates graphical "best line" from cc-line data?

Hello i have a big problem. I mad a nice track but the first corner was a bit bad (the picture above). So i decited to add a few sector between some other sectors in the corner. Wat happend can you see in the picture below. A nice corner..but the line in the middle of the track are a bit wierd.
When you drive the track, the tires of the car going left righ left right left right (very fast). Is there a solution for this problem ?

delete the sectors you added and do the corner again while selecting not to keep the original track sectors
