thats the thing... the gap is all filled and there is no hole anymore in 3deditor... but the hole remains in the game :(

@Prunn: then whether names of your new objects are not belonging to a visible class (try OBJECT_) or you didn't set objects properties correctly.

I didn't set any object... the default track has the same hole but I just enlarged the pit texture so that would cover the hole

Setting an object without a class-name should turn up visible. Only problem you would have that the game will crash after some laps...

Maybe you have to calculate the position settings of the object? If those are wong thy might hide the object in game.

well...
update on my projet:

All cars come out properly off the pitlane in to the straight line(only for .dat file)
the bug is: they are all running wide at the first corner... it's like they forgot to brake

I still have to figure out the holes in the track and edit the .gp4

I'm gonna explain what I did so may see the mistake I made in .gp4

I removed both fences for the 2 X
that created a hole so I stretch the pitlane texture over the hole but
surprise... the hole is still there in the game
basically: this hole is in the defaut game... in the original track but every time I move something else, it creates another hole

so: what did I miss???
what did I do wroung???

We missed only one thing : ingame tarmac shape is not the one in .gp4 but the one in the .bin files...here is the matter.
So you have to do about the same changes as you did in .gp4 to close the gap but with both track and pitlane .bin files.

well, it's pretty obvious what went wrong, you've used the Pitlane texture to fill the gap, but that texture is not used. its nice and all, but it's there for nothing, you should create a new shape and put use it to fill teh gap, that will surely work.

yes i can see that, BUT the name of the textures is PitlaneXX thus gp4 will not display it. if you name the textures BLAATXX they will show up just fine.

no it's not, trackverge100 is just a little block at the end of your pitlane. All the others are pitlanexx's
