GPGSL Rd 9 Belgian GP - Race DayPart 2Welcome back.
We come back from the break to see Kederer take the fastest lap.
But he doesn’t hold it for long as Gilson sets a faster lap.
Maverick is in the pits for a new nose. He is one of the unfortunate few who took damage from the debris left behind during the incident on the previous lap.
Van Renselaar is also in for a new nose.
After the incidents that took out 5 cars from the race, let’s see how the standings look.
According to the timings, Gilson has managed to get by Cartwright.
Greenhalgh may need to start looking out for what is behind him, as Horvath has managed to close in on him.
Kederer and Gilson continue to fight over the fastest lap.
We have a battle on our hands between Legge and Warrington.
Maverick has found himself in front of Jalving after rejoining the track from his unscheduled stop.
Jalving uses his new tyres to good effect by taking the fastest lap.
What has happened to Elleker? The timing shows that he has lost a few positions and now sits in 4th. Also, Horvath has dropped out of the top 5. We need to see what happened.
This explains why both Elleker and Horvath lost positions. They both ran wide at the same corner.
Elleker managed to rejoin with only a few positions lost.
While Horvath had to wait for everyone to go by before he could rejoin. As a result, he has now dropped down to 12th.
As we focus in on Legge, the timing shows that Kederer has managed to get by Greenhalgh for 2nd.
It’s still pretty close between Legge and Warrington.
There’s a MPR in the sand, and it’s Jalving.
Thankfully he keeps it off the wall, but gets a little bit of air as he rejoins the track.
Scala is in the pits for his stop.
Pedersen’s lead is now out to 2 seconds over Kederer.
Now Maverick has the fastest lap.
He isn’t able to hold onto it though as Van Renselaar has managed to go faster.
Gilson looks to be giving Greidanus a hard time.
Legge has run wide in the same spot that Hayes went off earlier.
But unlike Hayes, Legge is able to rejoin the track without any problems.
The battle for the fastest lap never seems to end, as Elleker now has the fastest lap.
Greenhalgh and Greidanus are in for their stop.
And they rejoin in 10th and 11th respectively.
Maverick takes the fastest lap, only to lose it to Jalving not long after.
Oh no, one of the Shadows has spun at the exit of Eau Rouge. And it looks like it is Greidanus. He had just come out of the pits, so what has happened to the Shadow driver?
From what the replay shows, it looks like Greidanus may have run slightly wide over the kerb, causing him to get out of shape and spinning out.
He ends up facing the wall, but from this angle it’s hard to tell if he has hit the wall, or if he’ll be able to get back on to the track.
Onboard with Greidanus now, and the picture says it all. Greidanus’s race is over.
Legge has run slightly wide, and Maverick in the AMR might be able to take advantage of this error.
He tries to get by, but isn’t close enough to make the move work.
More pitlane action is about to unfold as McCarthy and Horvath head into the pits for their stop.
Kederer is really putting the pressure on as he continues to chase down Pedersen for the race lead.
Warrington is also in for his stop.
10 laps into the race now, so let’s look at the standings.
Pedersen is doing his best to hold onto his lead. But how much longer can he hold back Kederer?
Pedersen runs slightly wide, and will most likely lose the lead to Kederer.
But wait, he has managed to hold onto his lead. Maybe Kederer decided to back off a little to avoid any potential contact, which may explain why he lost 0.2s to the MAC driver.
We have a battle taking place between Nell and Gilson. Gilson has a look up the inside of the Demon, but isn’t able to get by.
Elleker takes his stop from 3rd position.
We are now halfway through the race, so it’s time for another break. We’ll try and be back as soon as possible.
