GPGSL Rd 8 Brazilian GP - Race DayPart 4Welcome back for the final time.
Warrington may have to watch his mirrors soon as Greidanus continues to hunt the VSM down.
Looks like Greidanus is going for his move. He goes up the inside.
And makes his move stick. That puts him into the points.
Uh-oh. Nell’s Demon looks to have blown something in the back.
And it looks terminal as he has lost places already.
Nell does the right thing and pulls off onto the grass.
Nell’s retirement is confirmed on the timings.
Edwards looks to have lost a position to Brunner.
We have two moves being made. Steer on Legge, Greidanus on Elleker.
Which work for both drivers.
Meanwhile, McCarthy is looking for a pass on Pedersen.
And the JHR driver makes the pass succeed.
Back to the front, and it appears that Van Renselaar has managed to get by Rodriguez.
He made the pass at turn 3.
Brunner looks to the inside of Pedersen.
And manages to get by while Pedersen has a lockup.
Jalving’s lead is now out to 4 seconds.
Scala has a look up the inside of Rodriguez down the main straight.
And the Italian makes it by well before turn 1.
Here’s how the top 10 have moved since the start.
The second VSM of Warrington has closed in more on Legge’s Demon.
With 3 laps remaining, let’s look at the standings.
Warrington is going for a passing move on Legge.
And he makes his move stick.
Elleker looks close enough to the back of Legge to try for a pass.
He goes up the inside.
And the AMR driver moves up into the points by making his move stick.
Kederer sees an opportunity to make another position.
But the Demon shuts the door on him.
We are now on the final lap, and Jalving is on his way home.
4th position isn’t secured just yet. Van Renselaar has really closed in on Cartwright over the last few laps.
While Van Renselaar keeps onto the back of Cartwright, the timing shows that Greidanus has moved up another position.
No one has been able to come close to stopping Jalving here today. Once he took the lead on lap 1, he controlled the race from there, even throughout the pitstops.
He takes the final corner for the last time.
And crosses the line to win the Brazilian GP. What a crushing performance from the 2nd place driver in the championship.
Greenhalgh finishes in 2nd to make it a MPR 1-2.
And Gilson finishes in 3rd. The big question now is this: will 3rd be enough for Gilson to keep the championship lead?
Further back, Kederer looks to have gotten in front of Legge. It’s hard to say for sure.
From the onboard shot, it shows that Legge was able to hold onto his position.
That’s all the time we have. We hope you enjoyed the coverage, and we hope to see you back next time for Rd 9. Once again, congratulations to Charrel Jalving and MPR, our Rd 8 winners. This is GPGTV.ORG/Farked, signing out from Interlagos Circuit. Results To Come
