GPGSL Rd 8 Brazilian GP – Tester’s Free PracticeHello and welcome to Interlagos Circuit, our location for this weekend’s Brazilian GP. We have a great weekend of racing ahead of us, but for now our focus will switch to the testers free practice to see who has the quickest car in the fight for the fastest time. Without further delay, let’s head trackside to prepare for the start of the session.
Weather Report: SunnyMills starts off the session as the first man out ontrack.
As the first driver out, he sets the fastest lap.
But is soon pushed down the order as Thomas, Silvestre, Stoddart and Ingers all manage to go faster.
McGregor slots himself into 3rd with a reasonably good lap.
De Boer shoots to the top of the standings with a laptime 0.3s quicker than Ingers’s time.
The other Aston Martin of Hinz goes 3rd fastest.
The locals all came to see One Racing do well this weekend, and De Bruyker doesn’t disappoint as he goes 2nd fastest.
Santilal pushes his MPR to the limit and slots into 3rd.
Van Smirren isn’t able to match his teammate’s time, and finds himself at the backend of the top 10.
With the first group of drivers having set their first laptime, let’s look at the standings.
O’Brien starts off the second group of drivers as the first man out.
He puts his SCR into 4th.
Hayes can only manage 11th.
A great lap from Hunsley sees the JHR owner slot into 6th.
Schieder makes it into the top 10.
Copeman in the other JHR isn’t able to match his teammate, and finds himself with the 14th fastest time.
Kittleson puts in a really good lap to go 3rd fastest.
Karjalainen gives TNR something to be happy with by putting himself into the top 10.
Demon owner Sheppard goes 11th fastest.
Schroder manages to make it into 13th.
Allington puts his Demon into 6th.
Domenech joins his teammate down the order in 14th.
With both groups having now set their first lap, here are the standings.
Silvestre improves up to 7th.
Mills improves and puts his TNR into 10th.
A brilliant lap from Ingers sees the AMR owner improve up to 2nd.
Stoddart makes it into the top 10.
Van Smirren is having a disappointing time. He improves, but he isn’t able to go any higher than 20th.
Meanwhile, Santilal has spoiled Ingers’s time by going quicker.
Hinz puts in a great lap, and improves up to 4th.
With the first group now having finished their second run, let’s take a look at the standings.
Disaster for Hunsley as a Shadow comes out of the pits right in front of the JHR.
As a result, it prevented Hunsley from being able to improve on his time.
Hayes ends her day in the wall.
Sheppard gives it his all, and manages to improve up to 4th.
