Agreed. All we can do now is hope that he can bring home the victory.

Sorry guys, time and fatigue has got the better of me, I'm getting old you know! ;) Part two tomorrow.

5 x WCC - S5, S6, S7, S8, S10 | 4 x WDC - S5 Nick van der Voort ; S6, S7, S8 Ed Greenhalgh | 2 x WTC - S6 Stuart Ingers; S8 Andrei Sevastian
Bollocks! I told the car "Do you need to use the toilet?" he says, "Nah man it's cool". Someone is getting kicked Ralf Schumacher style...

I'm a total dick. How many people can say that?
Gah I don't understand! When we start near the back we have the pace to move forwards but I start higher up and I just can't keep up with anyone...

Looking very good so far. The race pace is a lot better than the qualifying perf and Jake is going a hell of a pace there in second. Hopefully he can keep it up and attack Gilson during or after the pit stops. I'll try to do the same with Mr. Jalving. A double podium finish would just be what we need!

It amazes me that you guys are using (obviously ignoring the graphical updates) what essentially is the same track I built, more than 8 years ago. I don't see many other surviving tracks from that time. It is really surprising.

I'm actually fed up of it to be honest.

God forbid we qualified badly, because we'd have no points at all

The teams with the best perf files should, within reasonable doubt, win or be at the front of the pack, barring any offs or crashes, simple as.

Surely that makes more sense?

The current qualifying system can be blamed for that. One slip, and you're stuffed. Back of the grid. Two runs doesn't give you much space to have a bad run.

Jenson drives it like he owns it; Lewis drives it like he stole it
Yeah, the series would be so interesting if the same teams were at the front, right? Let's have the same monotonous seasons where the best teams and drivers ALWAYS come out on top, leaving the new teams and drivers to have zero chance of doing well.

yeah, lets change the Qualy system Again ! :D

3rd and 8th? What's happening here? Don't we have boosts for this race ?

Just goes to show, you can't improve on perfection :)

5 x WCC - S5, S6, S7, S8, S10 | 4 x WDC - S5 Nick van der Voort ; S6, S7, S8 Ed Greenhalgh | 2 x WTC - S6 Stuart Ingers; S8 Andrei Sevastian

Race Day - Part Two

You rejoin us on lap 11 as Jack Elleker crosses the line. The gap to Gilson looks to be pretty static.

Jalving, however seems to be drifting away from Elleker and Maverick looks to be closing the gap in 4th.

Greenhalgh attacks Steer, but can't find a way past.

Greenhalgh re-thinks his tactics to pass Steer.

But decides to try the same again.

With the same results.

Is Elleker catching Gilson?

Edwards still 10th, but slipping back from Mionet in 9th.

Cartwright coming under pressure from Somogyi.

The Englishman has made a huge mistake and gone off into the gravel.

He smacks into the tyre barrier and loses two wheels.

Race over for Ross Cartwright. He will be in 'Bad Company' when he gets back to the team garage.

Elleker is definitely catching Gilson, if only a bit at a time.

The pit stops begin as Pedersen brings in his car for a service.

The gap between 1st and 2nd is shrinking for sure.

Elleker also pits for AMR.

Jack leaves the pits in 11th.

And is immediatley passed by Scala and has to fend off Greidanus.

Maverick now in 3rd after Elleker's stop.

The Swiss driver also stops for tyres and fuel.

Gilson is already leaving the pits, the cameras missed him coming in.

Gilson emerges from the pitlane in 8th position.

Elleker is in 10th, Scala between him and Gilson, has not yet stopped.

Maverick one place behind in 11th.

Jalving stays out for another lap.

Legge and Horváth are next to pit.

The MPRs now lie in 1st and 2nd, Greenhalgh some 12.5 seconds down on Jalving.

Our current leader is in for tyres, can he stay in front of Maverick?

Greenhalgh passes for the lead.

Jalving exits in 5th just in front of Maverick, this is going to be close.

Maverick's warmer tyres give him far more grip and he nips inside Jalving.

Jalving fights back on the back straight.

He takes 5th back off Maverick.

Elleker is in 4th.

Gilson 3rd.

Warrington just in front in 2nd, yet to pit.

Greenhalgh in 1st just entering the pitlane.

Warrington also makes a stop leaving Gilson in the lead of the race once again.

Greenhalgh is now 8th.

But he is passed by Somogyi.

Van Renselaar still having a shocker of a race.

The standings on lap 20.

Gilson is liking his new tyres, he's pulled away from Elleker.

Kederer attacks Edwards in 14th.

Edwards really lost out in the pitstops, now he has lost a position to Kederer.

Stay tuned for part three.

Unfortunent end to Cartwright's race. At least Gilson is holding on quite well. Bring home the victory and make the team proud.
