GPGSL S9 R13 - Austrian GP - A-1 Ring [Race online p205!]

Nice to see the activity check being fruitless this week. R6 promises to be a good one.

In other news, I'd like to stick my prospective team, Warrington GP, at the back of the waiting list please.

Merci.

My suggestion is that we postpone the French Grand Prix and move on to Canada, Montreal. An alternative venue, maybe the next on the track voting poll, can be used at a later date. All recent boost requests for Dijon will be void and we open a new boost window for Montreal. This way we can move on a bit quicker than waiting to fix the problems with Dijon.

We can do that. Montreal is now R6, open a new boost window.

Sensible to skip it

Shifted on the calendar to R7 for now. If the track issues cannot be resolved, the GPGSL will choose another venue.

So Rd7 is now Rd6? Fair enough. Guess that means all rounds are moved up 1 position. What's the problem with Dijon that can't be sorted out straight away?

As for Montreal, which version will be used? I've seen in previous seasons that the pitlane exit was the cause for plenty of dramas, so I hope the version that's being used has this fixed up in time for the start of the racing weekend.

Sensible decision there as it seems like the Dijon problem may take a little while to solve... And it also means I actually know when the window is for the boost as I thought I had completely missed it ;)

Kederer claims win at Dijon

In the absence of the entire GPGSL grid (well, almost), Shadow driver Tobias Kederer has won the French GP at Dijon. He apparently did not agree with the decision of the GPGSLRS to skip this round due to concerns regarding the safety of the pitlane, and thus remained at Dijon, while the rest of the paddock went on to Montreal. Starting without any competitors, he dominated the whole weekend, first setting the fastest time in free practice, then securing pole position in qualifying, and finally winning the race and setting the fastest lap time, too. His win was only at risk once when he hit the barrier and damaged his front wing while entering the pitlane.

If this win stands, this would mean a major jump in the standings for both Kederer and Team Shadow.

However it is highly doubtful that he will keep it, seeing that it was officially decided to postpone this GP. But with himself being a member of the governing body of the GPGSL, he should have at least one vote in his favour.

Not bad haha.

Good decision to postpone Dijon, just hope I can actually get a good result at Montreal, was my first race last season.

That was one of our best races in S8

That's still an impressive debut I'd say ;)

You sir, are a genius

I'm pretty sure Ruben fixed the pitlane exit at Montreal for last season, so there shouldn't be a problem.

The problems with Dijon are not insurmountable, but to avoid a lengthy delay it was felt that we move on and maybe come back to Dijon later. We will only replace the circuit if the problem can't be sorted.

No mustard-cutting for us...at least for now. I guess I'll be trying to carve my way through the maple syrup in that case.
