wo hoo!! =) Been waiting for this to get going! =)

I thought I'd be honest with you guys, I'm going to have to re-run qualifying.

Got half way through my first attempt, which was a damp session, and all was going well, until the rain started to bucket it down after the 11th car went out. I then had 2 cars not even set a time, returning to the pits at the end of their outlap. Everyone from then on did set a time but were around 8-10 seconds off the pace. Bit of a farce really.

I'll get on with a re-run of quali now, but please accept my apologies for the delay due to the f**k up.

Isn't that the risk of 1-lap-qualifying? If the results are still existing I'd say let 'em count. The luck or bad luck of being out at the right time is one of the characteristics of 1-lap-qualifying, everyone has the risk.

AFAIK they use the 'normal' qualifying system (so same as race drivers) which this season was 1-lap, could be wrong though!

Well whatever system it is they use, they have qualified using the 1 lap system for the Silverstone testers race.

In Imola they used the old normal system and in Kleine Nordschleife they used the experimental thing Dean suggested. So I think there's not a particular rule about that, is it?

I say let the results stand. As pointed out earlier this is the random nature of the one lap system; and for once it may actually benefit Christel, although I doubt it.

GPGSL - Christel VXR team Boss S6-S8, S12 Onwards

Chris, there is no way to recover it now.

That first session was simply ridiculous. Two cars didn't even set a time due to the one-lap system on GP4 being bollocks.

Safe to say I don't think you'll be too upset with the result from the re-run, which ran absolutely fine, with no problems.

Test series is usually a 30 minute session as its just a practice session. However, there are no rules about how a qualifying session would be run should there be a feature race involved. In my view its entirely down to the RD's discretion.
