Wait, all teams can use the rest of their boost? I say go for it, and see how the race will turn out.

I agree :) but it shouldn't be pushed, it might be a tactical option for a manager not to use boost during a season because of the failure rate that comes with it!

If you are racing, keep on racing and get some points!

Perhaps at the start of next season each team boss can state (via PM or on here) whether they'd be looking to use all remaining boost in the final race of the season, then note down each boss's decision on the first page.

MPR confirm Silverstre for Season 9

Martini Paddock Team Boss Dan Paddock has confirmed that Gianluigi Silvestre will join the team for Season 8 of the GPGSL.

Silvestre, who in the past has raced and tested for ScalaGP and MAC Racing will be taking the test drivers seat vacated by JHR Developments bound Gareth McCarthy.

In an exclusive interview with AUTOSPORT, Paddock explained the reasoning behind the signing of Silvestre.

"I've known Gianluigi for a number of years now and when I saw that his future at MAC Racing was uncertain I offered him the chance of a position at MPR.

"Gigi has never had the chance to prove himself in top machinery, so we want to give him this chance to mount a real effort on the test drivers championship in Season 9, alongside Monil
Santilal.

"Some members of the GPGSL paddock have criticised his decision to step into a test seat, but Gigi in my opinion has in the past been promoted into a racing seat too soon which has damaged his chances of developing as a driver.

"He will start at the team as soon as the chequered flag falls at Silverstone," Paddock added. "We are all looking forward to working with him here and we want to prove to him that he has made the right decision in joining the team."

Silvestre's signing completes the Martini Paddock Racing line-up for Season 9.

His future wasn't uncertain, he told me that he didn't want to be apart of the series anymore. If he was a half decent driver I would be fighting the move, but as it turns out it's not that big of a loss.

Just want to ask a few things. Will there be a Q & A for all team owners, drivers and testers? And will there be a season review? I saw these in last seasons thread, so I thought I'd ask if they'll be done for this season.

The words tactical option and boost in the same sentence. We have a joker in the house ladies and gents...

It was me who did the Q&A last season and it was a huge amount of work looking back, so it's only something I'd do if everyone was really keen.

I think it was Jake who produced the season review.

I'm up for it. If it doesn't happen, no big deal. I think all seasons from 1-6 didn't have them, which makes it the first time last season.

Also, is there any chance of having a special NC round to finish off the season after the final race?

I'm sorry I didn't explain before: I wanted to leave the championship as a race driver ( as you said, I'm not half decent ) and since I didn't get any offer for a test seat I was going to leave.

There will be no season review. Unlike last time where I had a good portion of a free summer to work on it, this time I don't have this kind of time to spare.

I could write something up but I certainly don't have the skills or time needed to present it in a format as nice as Jake did last season.

Races: 163 - Wins: 23 - Pole Positions: 24 - Fastest Laps: 22
Season 9: Constructors' Champions
I certainly dont have time to assist in any magazine style off season work. Jake's effort last time was brilliant. And before that, i think it was Mr Mills who produced a few ripping magazine style reports - all excellent quality contributions....
Perhaps Mullet can have a go himself, and get on the front foot, and not wait for others to have a go?

GPGSL Team Owner Debut - Melbourne, Season 8 - present
GPGSL Test Debut - Hungary, Season 4. GPGSL Race Debut - Adelaide, Season 5.
I wouldn't know where to start to be able to write up a season review.

Well I'd start with Aston Martin and work down the list according to last season Constructors Championship order.

All prior results are also available on the GPGSL Wiki page.

Races: 163 - Wins: 23 - Pole Positions: 24 - Fastest Laps: 22
Season 9: Constructors' Champions
I had a little think about season reviews at work today. I'm now tempted to put something together...I'll write the first few pages tonight and see if I want to do it all.

Welcome Gianluigi!

I'm looking forward to seeing how the new Silverstone layout goes! Hope we have a good end to the season!

Jake if you want to split the teams I'd be more than happy to help.

Think it would be good to get a review out there.

I've also been preping some questions for a Q&A.

Having run two races on the new Silverstone track a few weeks back I can say the AI behaves pretty well. Don't think we'll have people ploughing into the walls like at the baby Norschleiffe

Ah, excellent! Well, because I don't want to be accused of bias (and also because I hate writing about myself), you can definitely write about Demon if you'd like... ;)
