Don't pressure me. ;)

I'm not pressuring.

Ruben's being jovial, there's no rush :)

It was a great honor to be allowed to test this Gulf livery. Hopefully we'll be able to have a strong result to support the tribute.

I'd have hoped so, otherwise it's a bit of a weird session ;)

Races: 163 - Wins: 23 - Pole Positions: 24 - Fastest Laps: 22
Season 9: Constructors' Champions
GPGSL Rd 15 French GP – Tester's Free Practice

Hello and welcome to Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours, located in France, for Rd 15 of the GPGSL. With only 3 rounds left in the championship, the battle for the championship lead will surely heat up. First up on the fixture: Tester's Free Practice. A 30 minute session where 22 drivers will fight for the fastest time. Recent weather reports indicate we are in for a dry session. Let's head trackside as the RD has announced that the pitlane is now open, and I can hear the cars heading out onto the track.

First out onto the track is MAC Racing's Keeley Grant.

Followed by MPR's Monil Santilal, who was the winner of the free practice in Monaco.

SCR's Eric Moinet will be hoping for a great session in front of his home crowd.

Greg O'Brien in the Christel. He will be hoping for a much better session this time around, following on from his result in Monaco.

TNR boss, Dan Mills.

Shadow's Ruben Greidanus steps into the test seat for this round, following the forced withdrawal of Joshua Copeman. Doing double duties, his main focus will be on qualifying and the race, so this session will just be to help fine tune the Shadow.

Andrei Sevastian in the AMR. AMR have gone with a special livery for this race as a tribute to the late Allan Simonsen.

Grant is being caught by Santilal. This will be a problem for both drivers as their respective laps will be affected.

Grant takes 1st, but it could have been a better time.

Santilal goes quicker than Grant, but is in 2nd.

ONE's Marcus De Bruyker goes quicker, but still only takes 2nd.

Rodrigo Vilela, ONE's boss, goes quickest and takes provisional 1st.

Stuart Ingers sets the 4th fastest time, and is almost half a second down on the fastest time.

Moinet takes 4th away from Ingers to the delight of the crowd.

Snake's Jo-Anne Hayes has other plans, and steals 4th away.

SCR must be doing something right as Maikel De Boer, Snake's boss, goes quickest.

A good lap from O'Brien sees him slot into 5th.

SCR boss, Mal Stoddart, takes 3rd.

VSM boss, Rico Van Smirren, can only manage 8th.

The second MPR of Gareth McCarthy takes 2nd. A very good lap from the MPR driver.

The Demon of Sebastien Nell goes quicker than everyone so far to take provisional 1st.

Mills looks to have had a difficult lap as he goes slowest, 0.5s down from the fastest time.

MAC Racing boss, Nathan McGregor, goes 8th fastest.

Greidanus joins Mills at the rear of the order in 14th.

While Shadow boss, Tom Pellatt, does slightly better and sets the 8th fastest time.

VSM's John Warrington shows that VSM does have the pace as he sets the 4th fastest time.

Demon boss, Glen Sheppard, sets a fast lap and slots into 2nd. So far it's a Demon 1-2.

Dean Kittleson in the second TNR can only manage 8th.

The AMR of Daniel Thomas goes 5th fastest.

While his teammate goes faster than everyone else and takes provisional 1st. A stunning lap from Sevastian.

Here are the standings after the 1st runs.

Ingers heads out of the pits to start his 2nd run. He will be pleased with AMR's current positions, but not so with his own position.

Moinet down in 16th. The early pace was good, so can he put it to good use?

Grant didn't get the best opening run in her first run, so she'll be hoping for a much better lap this time around.

Nell in 2nd. He is having a fantastic session so far. The question is, can he stay where he is until the end?

Mills down the order in 21st. Not a great session so far for the TNR boss.

Improvements from both SCR's.

Vilela and Hayes improves to 8th and 15th.

While Grant can only improve to 20th.

A good lap from Santilal sees him improve to 3rd.

McGregor improves to 17th. This session is just not working out for MAC Racing.

Mills on the other hand, improves to 13th.

Current leader Sevastian sits idle in the pits.

Here are the standings after everyone has completed their 2nd runs.

Here's a good look at AMR's special Gulf livery.

This won't be any good. Pellatt has Ingers right behind him, and it looks like Ingers is on a flying lap.

Indeed he is. Fastest 1st sector, but being stuck behind the Shadow is going to ruin Ingers lap.

And it seems that this lap is done for Ingers.

Meanwhile, O'Brien in the other Christel is stuck behind the MPR of McCarthy. As a result, he is over 1 second down at the 2nd split.

What's this?! The crowd erupts into cheers as Moinet crosses the line to take the fastest time. But will he be able to hold onto 1st until the end of the session?

As expected, no improvement for Ingers due to being held up. Who knows what time Ingers could have set if he wasn't held up due to his fast 1st sector.

O'Brien doesn't do any better.

Kittleson, Vilela and Sevastian all fail to improve their positions.

Van Smirren and McGregor manage to improve to 19th and 11th respectively.

Here are the standings after the 3rd runs.

Moinet doing exceptionally well in this session. And the crowd approves.

Missed by the cameras, O'Brien had managed to improve to 16th.

Pellatt, Kittleson, Vilela and Grant all manage to improve their position.

While Greidanus improves his time, but not his position.

That's it for the session. There were a few final improvements, but the cameras seem to have missed them. A fantastic result from Eric Moinet and SCR, and the crowd are still cheering.

Congratulations to Eric Moinet and SCR. Winners of the French GP Free Practice.

Although it's just practise, but having a boost and only be 19th is a big joke.

No worries man, I was happy to help :)

Another strong showing from the MPR boys in free practice, hopefully Charrel and I produce a similar result in quali so we can fulfil Dan's prophecy ;)

Also congrats to Eric for topping the session. That's exactly why I signed you up mate! :)

Hm. Middle of the road. Yeah, that'll do nicely seeing as how I intend to use my two boosts in the last two races (Haven't got much of a choice anymore lol)

Now that was pretty bad! x

4th and 6th will do for us. Both of the boys are fighting up at the sharp end of the Testers Championship so I'm sure they'll be pleased too.

Whenever I see Andrei's times I think of 'what if?'

Congrats to my teammate for getting P1! Well done Eric :)

Very pleased with P8, I am not going to win TDC anyway so some solid points to keep up 2nd place :)

Not good result from SMS, but not as bad as last time out either!

Wow! Pole ? Couldn't have been on a better place for me ;-)

I would like to dedicate it to Mal Stoddart. In a certain way that's my gift for the marvellous year I've been spending in his team.

Also, thanks to Jack Hunsley and my team mate for their support and Greg O'Brien for his kind comment during the practice ;)

(and, at least, boost did worked !)
