That was the only way to get a true Italian pizza ;)

My GPGSL Career
Consistency is key
Charrel was spotted outside of his hotel early this morning after what they say was an epic party! We managed to ask him a few questions before he ran off.

We heard you hard a party yesterday; strippers, alcohol and lots of pizza. Did you behave this time?
Haha, everyone heard crazy stories. But my main goal was to connect with the teams, the drivers and everyone involved with the GPG SL. After my drunk crash a few weeks back I learned some stuff. We just had a nice evening, some drinks, good food and entertainment. But yes we enjoyed ourselfes, nothing crazy.

Why up so early and what can you say about qualifying?
Im just heading out for the gym! I want to be in topshape to fight in the race after a poor qualifying. All I can say for now is that consistency is key this season, we have had many race winners so far but the most consistent points scorer might just be at the top of the table at the end of the season.

What can you say about your title chances?
For sure that my position is good at this moment, but AMR has been the team to beat the last 2 seasons. Its a bit the same old story, in the beginning of the season I score good and I manage to top the tables and score good points. But after a few races the true strenght and experience of AMR comes into play. I hope this year MPR can keep up the development and increase our pace. It will be difficult but I will do the best I can.

What can you say about next year, many rumours have been going on about that
My only goal is fighting on track and winning the World Drivers Title, and for my team the World Constructors Title, but I cant do that alone I need a championship winning team for that and a competitive teammate. For season 9 my goals will be the same, I am still learning and going faster each year, so who knows..

Had a quick check in with the doctors as a precaution, due to fears that the accident I was in may have done more damage to my neck than first thought. And I'll be watching the race from the Christel pits. 4th and 9th for the main drivers is a nice result from qualy, so this race will be interesting to watch from the word go. Good luck pederson.

"Nothing Lasts Forever"

MPR team owner Dan Paddock has refused to clarify his teams future participation in the GPGSL.

Paddock, whose team currently sit second in the Constructors Championship, dismissed reports that he was looking to sell up for Season 9.

"I am not sure where these rumours have come from but right now we are just concentrating on this season", Paddock told Autosport.

"Any decision about the teams future will be made once the rules for Season 9 are clarified which could be any time in the next dew months.

"Sure, the GPGSL wouldn't be the same without MPR, but nothing lasts forever does it."

MPR are one of only three teams to have been present throughout the GPGSL's whole history, taking 13 wins in eight seasons.

Ouch. That's not good to hear. Where will your drivers go if you pull MPR out of the series?

Hold up, he hasn't decided on anything yet...

Besides, that's all the fun of the silly season, isn't it?

That's why I said 'if'. It's Dan's decision if he ends up retiring MPR, and if he does then his drivers will need to find a new home. Let's wait until S9 pre-season to see what happens.

I must admit, I'm waiting to see what the rules will be like for next season before I fully commit Christel Racing.

GPGSL - Christel VXR team Boss S6-S8, S12 Onwards

The track did get a lot worse, my car kept bottoming out. When I ended my lap I was expecting to be last or around last, I'm surprised that I got 3rd. We should be able to get a nice race result from that spot. Also my teammate should be able to get a few points from 13th

With all do respect but if we keep changing the rules everytime a team complains about them as they have a "disadvantgae to last season" then we will never stop changing them.

S1 to S3 were played under the same rule-set, VSM ended 1st in S1 and bottom last in S3. We all wanted closer racing and we've got that. The rules are the same for everyone, there is no need to change it.

I must admin that the rules concerning racing must not change to much and to often indeed. As a driver and a team you know when you start in the GPGSL its a long way to be at the top. I am here since Season 2 trying to work my way up, and one day I hope to win the WDC. But it must be based on commitment, good choices, boost tactics and a bit of luck.

Not total randomness, then its just a lottery right? ;)

And with all due respect I did not complain about the rules. I simply said that I was waiting to see what happened before fully committing. I am allowed my opinon as much as the next person and I do not respect the fact that you felt you needed to tell me that the rules were the same for everbody...I know. I am simply trying to do the same as everyone else is here, enjoy the league, give my opinion and say how I think the league should move forward. My only issue this year has been about the qualifying, which I shall bring up again once this season has finished in the suggestion thread.

Dont give up yet boss. The team is still young. We will get there! :)
Looks like the silly season is starting early this time. And as for the concerns about the rules, they have been noted and like always, there will be another discussion about them closer to the end of the season.

Of course everybody has the right to state his own opinion and so has Rico, too, in what he said. I can understand both sides.

GPGSL : Team Owner of 'Maverick Track Performance' (MTP)
Just to make sure everyone understands, I am not neglecting anyone to express theire own opinion, i just figured this was about the qualy rule set, and thats why i was stating my own opinion. So... basically what John said.. :p
