GrandPrixGames Nations Cup Season 3 [Round 17 - World Grand Prix - Abu Dhabi: Race pg 81-82!]

Posted by GPG_Nations_Cup
A very good weekend for Team Austria! We didn't expect a Top 10 position. :-)

First podium: S8 Australian GP - 3rd at Testers sprint race
5th isn't bad, we were lucky to regain one of the places we lost at the first pit stop.

Thanks for the coverage, Tobi.

(That Canada car's a stunner as well...whoever made that, (Y))

Lovely coverage as per usual. Thanks to Tobi for running the race and to Connor for the mod construction. Connor, one suggestion I'd possibly make is to have all the pitcrews in a more neutral colour, such as white or light grey. I just think it'd look a little more professional. Other than that, you've done a cracking job.

For Team GB it is a pity that our pace was so poor, but I like many others it seems, missed out on the boost window. Hopefully we will see a big improvement at the next race.

Also have to echo Jake's comments in regards to the Canada livery, looks fantastic.

Races: 163 - Wins: 23 - Pole Positions: 24 - Fastest Laps: 22
Season 9: Constructors' Champions
Very happy with 3rd place. Maybe even 2nd would have been possible, but I lost too much time behind Girard and at the second stop.

Thanks Ruben :). I've never had a race before where not one single overtaking manoeuvre took place. The most action was caused while lapping, as most of the time it took quite a while until a car was lapped.

Thank Jake & Dan:), Canada car painted by me according to Ben's pattern.

EDIT: One thing regarding the mod: the numbers of some teams should be corrected, e.g. both Germany and USA have #3, GB and Netherlands both have #6

WTF! 22nd for Team France!!!!!! Time to grab a huge long bread stick and beat a few team members over the head for that one......
Hopefully we see the boost application post for future races, and give ourselves a chance, otherwise it is going to be a loooooooong season.

Yup i agree fantastic coverage Tobi, and i would also like to pass of Dan's compliments on to Ruben, as he was the one who actually constructed the mod. Try as i might i couldn't work it all out as well as Ruben does every time ;-)

About the numbers, i thought the same thing, but it did occur to me i didn't have the psd's for any of last seasons cars which would make it a lot more difficult to do.

Anyway about the race, meh. We moved forward a bit which is nice to see, but we never expected much with about boost, especially on a track where it's so difficult to overtake. Onwards to Suzuka for more action!

Well, the result was not bad, we're going to try to achieve a better result in the Japanese GP
Monaco :

16th at the start, 16th at the finish line. Well... at least we didn't lose any place.

Sorry guys, a bit of home track knowledge there.

I knew Oran Park would not produce any passing so I tried to play some strategy with my boost points.

Yes it was a boring race but it worked quite well for me with a second.

I probably wont pick it again next season because you all know you cant pass on it now. :)

Reasonably pleased with 15th on debut for the mighty F1-J1 and Team Fiji's first race.

Damn that loose wheel though, we might just have snuck up another spot or two without this issue. have no fear, the offending pitcrew member who did not do the nut up tightly enough was taken out the back and shot at the conclusion of the race.
4th isnt the best start but due to a rubbish start we didnt do to badly

I have to say, that is pretty clever stuff there ;-). When i picked my track i had no thought about stuff like that, but then playing your tactics right is probably not a bad idea lol.

Glad to hear the team harmony gareth ;-)

Next update of the mod will contain a neutral colour for pitcrews and cockpit, updated race numbers, updated Argentina livery, new onboard cameras and some small tweaks.

I've also just sent you an update for my helmet, as I noticed that it didn't look correct in game while running round 1.

Hem... I'd like to keep my Men In Black crew. And my Donuts too. ;)
