Speak for yourself. The new circuit is certainly one of the better creations made/revised in modern years, but it pales into insignificance to what was a classic track, or even most of the other tracks which preceded it.
Hockenheim may have been primarily flat-out, but so is the Indy 500 and Le Mans. It and Monza were special. They're now both just castrated members, living on memories. At least the Italians have refused to raze theirs yet.
The racing at the new Hockenheim isn't what it was. It's pretty much just another circuit. It won't host a 2000 or 1994. It's only good when circumstance intervenes - it just happens more often than at other tracks.
