Yes, but it doesn't mean that I can't complain about them complaining. Complaining is what I do, after all! ;)

now if the teams are more evenly balanced this year, as suggested, i wonder how far up toyota might creep.

they were getting stronger to the end of last season, and in my view, trulli seems to be getting less trulli-ish in his vintage years and somewhat getting racier. glock is quite solid too, not incredible, but solid when it counts, and i feel last year he's made jarno up his game.

id be willing to jump out and predict a few podiums for trulli this year, otherwise good solid points. the same for glock, the odd podium and plenty of 'also-ran' solid points.

if conditions or freak races occur, i wouldnt bet trulli would win one, if he did, itd be from him dominating all weekend. there are far more aggressive drivers out there in freak conditions to make the most of it. trulli needs his day to have that win!

As I said before, if Toyota are to win, I'd tip my man Tim O'Glock to do it ;) A lot depends on Renault and BMW though. I just still can't see Toyota beating them if they are at the top of their game this year. Maybe it's just because I'm so used to them underachieving.

Imagine how good the rest of the cars might look (as this is only the second one ;))

I +1 this.

the only year they really had chrome livery was 2006.
since then hasn't it discreetly gone back to murky grey?

I like the red with the extensive black in the rear, much prefer this livery to Ferrari/BMW so far.

I don't believe teams will be that close, maybe there will be a top 3 but the midfield and lower teams will really struggle having to develop the cars to fit new rules, especially without resources to make new parts and test them.

What can I say... again, I really like this car. 2009 looks like it's going to be a great year. The proposed rule changes and the fantastic cars seem to be really working for me.

I like the raised nose, the front wing endplates are nice to look at. And I'm now starting to like Toyota's livery, too. It seems so clean and nice, and fits the car really well.

I like everything but the walrus like front nose cone. I wonder if the high nose will be faster than a low one with the new regs, the last really fast high nose car was the 2000 Ferrari I believe, so maybe with the new regs a high nose is the way to go.

Thought about that too, but I can imagine we are all used to it now, as it was new in 2006, but I can remember back then in 2006 in races I didn't notice it was real chromelike.

I think when we first saw it, the chrome was all polished and set in a studio, with lights all over it, which made it seem worse. I remember finding it disgusting, but it looks pretty good now. Probably because the reflections aren't as bad in real lighting.

Exactly what I mean. However, chrome or no chrome, the liverydesign on itself is strong enough to make whatever car look nice.

I think this year could really shake up the pack. Hopefully the ferrari and mclaren end up at the back and the rest equal at the front

not likely though.

I think McLaren and Ferrari will still be at the top (in no particular order) and the likability is that they'll be further ahead of the others thanks to the new regs.

The midfield might have a shake up of sorts, and will probably be wider spread. This in itself would go some way to producing more overtaking, not due to it being easier to follow in another cars wake but simply because the performance differentiator could be bigger than in recent years.

As soon as the teams close in on one another again, overtaking will be as hard as it has ever been.
