Bollocks he forced him to go off. Kimi made a counter-move and pulled it off. He was nearly a car length in front (Kimi's rear wheels were level with Hamilton's front wheels). Hamilton chose to drive off the track rather than simply back off.
Hamilton would have been further behind Kimi than he was if he'd stuck to the confines of the race track, therefore he gained an advantage. That he then overtook Kimi into turn 1 was just taking the piss.
If he's over shot the chicane,
stayed behind Kimi and then got a run at him up through Eau Rouge, he wouldn't have been penalised. As it was he did an Alonso '05.
