It wasn't an error as such. Magny Cours was Ligier (and Prosts of course) home track. They did most of there testing there back in the days when testing was less limited.

yeah Brundle always reminds us during the Magny-Cours race weekend that he used to have nightamres about he track because he did thousands and thousands of laps of it, when he was a Ligier driver.

RIP Jules, never to be forgotten. #KeepFightingMichael

Well, disappointing quali for Renault there. You would of thought they would be in quali 3. Red Bull and Toro Rosso seem to be having a fine end to the season and Button is the only one who seems to be driving well for Honda this year.

Im sure that Hamilton was set light on fuel to get pole so no one can take him out in the first corner. Hopefully Felipe will tag him though ;)

oh yeah, that was a new feature for this race, really gives an insight where the tyres lose temperature

we have said that every race of the year and hamilton and alonso have always had 1 lap of fuel difference

nope..maybe you should remember silverstone ,hamilton was set low on fuel because he was slow all weekend and I think same goes for this weekend....quite odd that alonso said he doesn't know fuel load of Lewis ,Kimi said that they always know the tactic of team mate...

I'm staggered Hamilton hasn't gone for a conservative fuel load given his position in the standings, and the expected weather for tomorrow. It looked a great lap, but in no way was it just pure driving getting it, and if it's dry tomorrow he'll still end slower than the following cars anyway. He could very easily drop to 4th after the first pit stops alone.

I'm just baffled. :\

He can set the pace behind the SC if it's wet. ;-)

But seriously, a 4th place might well be enough unless Alonso drives the wheels off tomorrow.

Looks like Vettel's been handed a 5-place drop for impeding another car? I never saw that one did you? lol, seems like this kid likes his penalties. Broke the speed limit and was fined on his friday debut last year...and now he's smashed up two podium red bulls and is impeding other cars in qualifying lol.
