Bullshit, his crash wasnt even at 80kmh, I dont know where they get 80mph. :S Otherwise, nothing too badly damaged, only front wing and front left suspension. Kimi did crashed his car twice on his first outing for McLaren in Monaco 2002. They even had to flew new shell from Woking so that he was able to race on Saturday. That`s not a surprise that Lewis crashed his car, he was amazing before in FP2.

Qualifying is going to be a bastard... this will more about luck than anything...

But luckily both Hondas had clean final runs, though they were heavyish I think...

They have a noticable improved pace. and its the last race i think with this car, they should have the new one at Canada... not sure though :s

gonna be an exciting race... i hope for a kimi or mclaren win

Yes i remember that one Ron said kimi will need to get out his credit card lo. Then in the race RB tried to go over the top of him lol.

Lewis will learn from the crash and its a good thing it happened in practise loads of drivers have hit that wall in past.

On day 1 mclaren have and advantage thats for sure i expect them to lock out row 1. Massa really does not go well in monaco and so far has been no where. Kimi is there best hope this weekend but i dont think the ferrari is as fast as the mclaren this time.

Even last year in the bad mclaren kimi could have won.

Hi again. After a long time I come to post again on a race thread

I hope Alonso wins this one. Honda is going a lil bit better than what they got me used to. Massa is nowhere as marcl said, But he must be doing better than his last performances in Monaco. I think Alonso should be doing really well, Raikkonen very close to him, maybe he could still the victory. Hamilton should be on the podium, but I feel he's not going to do as well as ITV thinks/wants.

On another note, Spyker has financial problems. They sold their name or something like that so they can get a loan to keep it alive for the rest of the season. I've never liked that team, neither spyker nor midland, cause they don't seem to be as interested in F1 as other teams. I believe this is going to be something similar to what happened to Arrows, except this team is even worst.

Regarding Spyker. What they have done will get them through some of the year but in the long term it wont work I dont think they will be around next year unless they get a big deal. They should not have wasted money on the court thing. Maybe when they get the new car things will get better.

Trulli crashed in 2002, i think... im sure both Renaults that year went out, JB at T1...

Hmm according to some guys I know at Spyker - it's not that they dont have the money, it's just that they're not willing to spend it....

Doesn't explain why they took out a loan or whatever it was that they did though

They dont want to do what happened to TWR. When Arrows went bust it took the whole of TWR down with it, Spyker are keeping the F1 stuff away from there other projects.

Yeah possibly a wise plan - but it shows they're not that commited to the F1 effort.

I sure hope Gascoyne can work some miracles there...

I think it shows they are though, they are willing to loose their name for this. Time will tell.

Going back to monaco about 5 drivers damaged their cars at the 1st turn thats more than there has been for a number of years.

The race could be full of accidents.

That's right marcl. Webber just said a lot of drivers are having trouble in ste devote, it's that the first corner, right? Anyway.

What happened with red bull's rear wing? I just saw the barcelona race on my pc, and that wing really bends too much, really noticeable for the human eye. I saw somewhere that Charlie Withing asked the team to use that same rear wing this weekend so they can see how legal it is. Is it true? It sounds quite odd

Rbr have to use the rear facing cam so they can look at the rear wing but they have a high downforce wing this weekend so its not the same.

RS also crashed today, DC damaged his car, so did Webber, Lewis, Davidson, Fissi, Sutil
