But Andretti was Cart champion before he moved to McLaren. Who was to know that he was going to be such a bust back then? And in 1995, Mansell had won the championchip in his last full year and had just wont the final race in 94, when you saw what other drivers were out there he looked like the best option.

Michael Andretti was just finding his way in the team and scored a podium at Monza '93 before been given the boot. He had the right potential but not the temperament.
Mansell by contrast couldn't even fit into the '95 Mclaren and when he did the car was crap and he was nowhere on pace, however he was 41 that year and past his best.

JB had a different airbox to rubens :s rb had an older version by the looks of it.

More like a faulty drain cover.

Montoya's an it now!? In retrospect it didn't work as planned but look at the results he achieved before coming to Mclaren, on paper it looked like an excelent choice.

The mistake Ron made in 2002 imo was not bringing heidfeld as well as Kimi, although I suppose DC did have pretty strong 2001.

Not sure it was all Ron's choice in 1995. Marlboro were desperate to have Mansell at all costs. Dennis even said a few years earlier that Mansell would never drive one of his cars.
