In what way will they add a 2 second penalty under the current format? Run qualifying as normal, which means he'll probably qualify no lower than 10th. Or, add 2 seconds to his time in each session, ie. he must qualify at least 2 seconds quicker than the 16th and 10th place cutoff times to get through.

Is there a clear rule on time penalties like these?

Alonso got 1 second penalty on the Doornbos story and got another second penalty for passing under YELLOW flags

Well they put michael at the back of the grid in monaco so he got away very good if you ask me !!!

I think he get 2 seconds added to each laptime he set in every qualifying session, so is he 2 seconds faster then number 17 he will start 16

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

You forgot that michael got a penalty in MONACO, a track you can't pass at all so that wasn't in favortism for ferrari there from the fia

But hey, MS and alonso are "even" now considering penalty for qually. And as someone said, MS' penalty in Monaco was worse.

That this would be a conspiracy between FIA and ferrari is nonsense ofcourse ;)

Justified Penalty !!!
What he did was plain dangerous and his comment after was just arrogant and stupid. He claimed that it´s a top drivers right to show the others how to act on track. Damn who does he think he is anyway?

He once more has proven why he is the second less liked driver in the field for me. Well but he won´t reach the *champion* in that category... bad old schumi

Not really on topic but... I wonder if Kimi would be acting like this if he won the championship last year.

Comments like "grow up" IS stupid, so I dont give a damn to them. I just showed how much I hate him. Put this in this way, if you didnt like my comment, just ignore it.

And no I havent ignored the fact that Senna died in an accident. It doesnt have anything to do with my anti-schumacher behavior, are his dirty tactics and lack of character that drives me mad at him. A driver like MSC who use such tactics and disgusting team orders to win races doesnt deserve to be a F1 champion. But this is other subject, that isnt related to this thread, so if someone has something against my comment, better to open another topic for this or PM me.

@ Vader - why not?! I can hate any driver I want, nobody has the authority to say who I can hate and who I can't. Its up to me to make my own mind about other people. And TBH I dont want to meet him, otherwise i'd knock out him for being the thief he is.

And about DaMatta, to be honest, I never saw him racing. So I dont have absolutely nothing to say about him.

And now coming back to this thread subject, I still have to see what Alonso did to comment about his penalty.

One word: KARMA :) (Or in several words, "What goes around comes around";). I wonder if Alonso will produce a drive as good as Schumi did at Monaco? Probably not, because he'll be too busy throwing his toys out the pram.

Look at how Kimi reacted about his problems in 2005 season (flat tyre at nurburgring, crash at hockenheim) and his retirements this year, It is enough proof to say with 100% percent that he'd really stay cool.

And I never saw Kimi blaming other drivers for what happens with him (see alonso vs schumacher blocking him @ hockenheim pitboxes during qualifying)
