Ovals are generally easier to cover and get a sense of speed from than road courses. IndyCar on road courses are very very poor to watch, both racing wise and TV coverage. Since Brian has decided he's literally going to make up the rules as he goes along, I've given up on IndyCar. Even watching Dario win won't keep me watching this disgrace.

Well when going to Le Mans - E.g. Look at weather reports? Yes. But you assume it will rain. search for any issues with airlines youre likey to travel with? When I went abroad we went whichever was cheapest. At the lowest level they are all pretty interchangable. Search for events happening around the destination? Even if you only buy the very mild interpretation of Smedley's orders, Massa had explicit orders not to let Hamilton get passed him. Isn't that kinda what racing is? You know, beating the opposition? Not letting them passed you? This conversation is beyond @#$%& ridiculous now, so I'm out.

I love it. And I love it even more when it annoys people. I love that they want to hate him, but can't. He genuinly is a great guy, with nothing to hate about, so they pick the finger. It's awesome.

Where has these rumours of di Resta to Ferrari come from? I've seen them about it, but don't understand it. He's been a Mercedes driver for longer than a lot of people have been F1 fans, and there's a reason he's in a Force India.

Battlelog is ok, it has potential, but sometimes it isn't as smooth or as simplistic as it could be. The major bugs which have been introduced are pissing me off. The terrain is quite broken (being able to shoot through the rocks? wtf?) and the holes which grenades make break the floor of the terrain. Those 2 bugs are verging it on unplayable. Can someone run a wet weather test for me? I discovered that in F1 2010, the AI speed in the wet had nothing to do with the rain, but rather the tyres they were on. If it rained and they were on slicks, they would continue to lap at a dry weather pace. Only when they swapped to wet tyres did they start lapping at wet weather pace. The F1 2011 steam forums are a gloomy read. All official forums are in my experience. iRacing forums are a complete disgrace, Steam forums aren't much better.

Vettel's next thing after the WDC is of course record amount of poles in a season (Mansell and 14????) Stuff like records for poles and wins in a season are basically untouchable. They were achieved under extreme circumstances that just cannot happen anymore. The fact he's even gotten this close is unreal.

That IMHO fits very well with your reasoning for punishing Hamilton. For me it doesn't fit well since Webber put himself in an impossible position, attempting a pass which was always going to end in an accident. By using the argument of Webber being a few cm ahead in the braking zone as justification for right of way, you can use Massa being ahead a few cm by just after the apex as justif

I have to admit, I don't remember an incident, apart from Webber and Massa (if there was another one then correct me), then no I don't think Massa deserved a penalty given Mark ran wide then turned right into Massas car, in an overtaking move that was completely impossible in the first place. But then again this is the story of Webbers year and Massas career.

A perfect example of why Red Bull are winning this championship. It isn't just the car, it isn't just Vettel, it isn't just the team. It's everything. Ferrari and McLaren were busy dicking about, fighting each other for track position they didn't need, whilst Red Bull got Vettel the space he needed to get the job done.

Not just FOM, but the teams too. McLaren don't want to see Lewis in a Red Bull. Red Bull don't want to see Vettel in Ferrari. The entire thing is marketing.

You can tell just from that that the Ferrari will produce a metric sh*t ton more drag than the Red Bull, and still relies on wings for downforce, whilst the Red Bull is a full ground effect car. Not that it matters since neither will ever exist, but still.

Looks illegal to me. He carried too much speed into the corner in an attempt to keep position. It's the same as Lewis on Kimi at Spa - whilst the pass itself was not illegal, the actions around it which allowed it to happen were illegal.
