Weird - this has happened to me too since about a week ago... I have a hunch it has to do with the newer Nvidia drivers, because I never had this problem before.
I am currently on France on the 1994 mod, I can't get past the race as it ALWAYS freezes, even when retiring and accelerating time.
Oddly, it never happens when I test with the original game.
Could you maybe try with driver

Grand Prix 4 I play Gp4 on Win 7 64 bit. I do not remember having one ctd on it ever. XP, yes, a Lot. Maybe I'm just lucky, but win7 is not the source of the issue when unable to play gp4.

Other Games Hello again.
I have downloaded the 94, 95 and 96 mods from BulgarianSimWorld, but whenever I load a track with the mods, it crashes. Sometimes it even crashes when I select a different car, sometimes it doesn't.
Note that I install them on clean installs.
Any help would be great! Thanks.

Other Games Hello There
As elaborated on my previous thread, I have just upgraded from a 9600GT to a GTX 550 TI.
Now, its performance is way ahead of the old card, and can run uninterrupted for a few minutes. However, about 10-15% of playing ANY game on my system, there is an oddly short stutter, like it's only skipping one frame, which is quite irritating when playing the games that I play.

Off-Topic Thank you for the replies guys.
Well I went ahead after taking your advice, and decided on the GTX 550 as the way to go, as its benchmark results were about twice what my old card was giving me . All my games have waaay better framerates now, much more than previously. You guys helped alot. And the 460, while being a better proposition, with our exchange rate, a 70% price difference to the 55

Other Games So I have a dilemma. I can get a GeForce GTX 550 TI for a relatively good price.
BUT, I have a Geforce 9600GT which has been loyal to me for almost 3 years now. According to all benchmarks, specifications etc. I can find, the GTX 550 trumps the 9600GT.
But there is a little voice in my head saying it's not worth the money. Am I right?
Coz I looked at things like these, which made me

Off-Topic Pardon my igorance, but what is track installer, and what does it do exactly with the wad's, dat's, etc.
I know this usually happens when you use TSM and you disable GPXTrack in CSM's GPXPatch settings, because then it loads the default GP4 dat's.

Grand Prix 4 does anyone know what to change where in order to change the tcam fov?
The 'fov' var in cameras.xml only changes the cockpit and chasecam fov's, not the tcam.
I have changed it from 5.00 to 99.00, still looks exactly the same on tcam.
And i have searched everywhere, all the millions of mods only affect the cockpit/chase cam views.
Again, very much appreciated.

Other Games Oh cool thanks. i also browsed through all of the parameters on the plr file that looked like ai files, which didnt help much since i dunno what they are for.
another thing which i may be wrong about, but it seems that the ai are avoiding you yourself in a point in the car as opposed to missing the whole car, i.e. avoiding point x, y by x metres iso missing object car with point x, y with dime

Other Games As we all know, rfactor ai is very broken. It seems that the Computer cars race each other well - could be wrong - but when you as a human try to go up the inside, they turn into you literally like you are not even there, and they do not brake when you brake if they are behind you, they also act like you're not there, ramming you up the arse all the time.
So, short questiin: any way to im

F1 Grow up man. This is a forum, not an obituary service. People discuss current affairs. Kubica'S replacement falls firmly into that category.
On the subject, I think Hulkenberg did well against a much more experienced driver last year, and much better than a certain Bruno would have done.
Though it seems Renault have some kind of sentimental play going on, despite them not even being Lo

F1 Its difficult. Maybe before he joined the team he said he will only sign this contract if he can do other racing, as the other racing would supplement his income from f1 to be sufficient. In that case i doubt theyll do anything to stop him.
Also, with the very limited testing we have these days, maybe the team prefer him to do rallying etc. To keep some sharpness and competitiveness.

F1 I see Tony Fernandes has received a CBE. Rumor has it that Dany Bahar wants one too. :P
On 97kirkc's pic, is that a tortoise? sorry, i cant see so clearly on my phone.
On merc, they seem to be where they were last year, good enough for q3 at best, nothing more. Think they will be overtaken by renault or fi or both this year, and finish 5th or 6th.

F1 Yeah well what happens is like when I turn the wheel say steadily to the left, it shows on the device settings almost like it tries to move as well but it vibrates/oscilates, and then suddenly when I go past a certain point it goes fully to the left.
I will give it a proper clean tonight anyway, the wheel is useless now anyway so I don't have to give a buck about damaging it :/
Thanks

Off-Topic Cool, I didn't think of that, thank you! By pots you mean? Sorry to be so clueless... I opened it up with a screwdriver already.
If I have to guess, a pot is the exact spot where the wheel gives input to the electronics? I could be wrong so feel free to correct me.
It is a very easy wheel to open. So if I could only spot those pots

Off-Topic Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately it's either this wheel or no wheel at the moment. And out of those two, I would rather choose this wheel.
Cheapness is a relative term - it's way cheaper than a G27 for example, but it's still a lot of money.
There must surely be a way to reset it?

Off-Topic Hi
Does anybody know whether I can reset the above-mentioned wheel with a firmware flash or something?
It just started to go bonkers all of a sudden, my input on the wheel not at all resembled in the device settings or any games for that matter. It's very all over the place, like if I turn left it will go right and massive turns by me don't get recognised.

Off-Topic So this is getting ridiculous now.
Updated my system memory to 3GB, and now DXDiag shows that my display adapter has another 500mb more allocated to it. So it's showing 2260mb RAM for my 1024MB card.
There has surely got to be a way to disable this?
I just left it for a while but now again after putting in more memory for my system it's disappointing that the 9600gt is taking m
