Here you go, guys, a short preview video for Monza Historic, the 1955-1971 chicane-free Monza layout - in modern environment, like Imola, Monaco and Hockenheim.
Considering it's a roughly 90% full throttle lap, it's pretty boring on a single car run, so I recorded a 3-lap quickrace instead.
As I said, it's completely new compared to Monza 1969. There's an onboard lap

Grand Prix 4 I frankly can't imagine GP4 without your involvement which I think says a lot about your influence. This quote sums it up pretty well.

Grand Prix 4 @thestig88, @Turbo Lover, @Meteoro405, @tojepo, @rookie26: Thank you to all of you, guys, I'm glad it became a fine track. It's very good to race on.
Here's one final quote on it that I like very much. It's from a Car And Driver feature on America's Best Road Courses.
"It's classic, it's fast, it has a really great rhythm once you get in the groove. I

Grand Prix 4 Interesting. I always thought that the game slows the AI down just as much as you - that's reasonable considering that, after all, you're also controlled by the game from that point on.
The pre pit speed limit in the magic data only serves to adjust the amount you're being slowed down. Oddly enough, I never managed to find a value which doesn't slow you down at all when you

Grand Prix 4 I don't really use mods at all nowadays - I'm just building tracks.
I don't find as much joy in racing different seasons anymore (I did when I was 17-20 though) and having no such interest has the added bonus of using just one install - an unmodified vanilla install to test my tracks. I do use GPxPatch (standalone, not in CSM environment) to adjust certain variables sometimes an

Grand Prix 4 It’s release day, folks! (Tl;dr: download links on p. 1 and at the bottom of this post.)
IndyCar drivers talk about how they’ve “never been to a track like this” which is so fast and, with the “amazing G-forces,” so physically demanding and how it is a massive commitment track in that there’s a lot of time and space passing between committing to a certain cornering speed and cornering arc

Grand Prix 4 There you go:
Although in the meantime I realised that this is not specifically a 2013 version. It should fit well though considering there were no layout changes recently. In any case, if you have troubles, you can easily make the shortcut in a 2013 .dat. Simply use the corner radius I used and you should get a perfect connection. (Build a 4-sector long -0.1 degree 'left turn' from

Grand Prix 4 Indeed, I happen to have made such a thing (unreleased) more than two years ago!
I'll check if everything is fine with it and then upload it for you later today.
P.S.: By the way, I recently got hold of real-life corner radius data for the historic Monza (1955-1971) so I now plan to release a fully 'reverse engineered' version of track, similar to Imola Classic. Despite Monz

Grand Prix 4 Have you actually tried with the air pressure value?
It's below downforce and ride height.
For my Hermanos Rodriguez 1968, I obviously needed a very low number and using an altitude-to-air pressure calculator online, I got a 12986 figure. (I used Monaco's 17055, the lowest among the original 17 tracks, for 30m above sea level - the average altitude of the Circuit de Monaco - as a

Grand Prix 4 IndyCar makes a surprising return to Watkins Glen this weekend, a track which is probably the most exhilarating to experience in a top end open-wheeler car, an Indy car – or an F1 car!
Without much further ado, here’s a little preview of a corrected and up-to-date (well, up-to-2011) Watkins Glen Long – and, as a bonus, a preview of the Short course as well which is entirely new for GP4!

Grand Prix 4 I've pondered the opportunity to reverse Indy, make the proper adjustments (like, say, invert the banking values last but not least), and copy the elevation and banking data of the existing, GPS-based Turn 1 of the oval four times along to create an accurate Indy Oval, but it's not a priority at all nowadays. (We have a reasonable Indy Oval already, plus I too have other commitments.)

Grand Prix 4 Change of plans, guys.
Correcting some wayward elevations on The Glen has proved more time-consuming than expected (that happens often, also it seemes to be harder to revisit and correct an existing .dat than making a new one, actually) so now I aim for a release during the build-up to IndyCar's highly-anticipated return to the track on September 4th.

Grand Prix 4 I'm playing on a laptop and it works fine for me - although I'm running Windows 7. (I'm running it in Windows XP compatibility mode.) So it's either the operation system or a combination of the operation system and trying to play on a laptop rather than simply trying to play on a laptop.
If I were you, I would ask around for advice among the Windows 10 laptop users.

Grand Prix 4 One track that's been badly missing from my portfolio ever since I pulled down some of my works that were simply not good enough is Watkins Glen.
NASCAR is racing at The Glen this weekend and I'm currently finishing work on both getting the Boot layout accurate - and getting a short layout ready! (Both without the Inner Loop - of course.)
These tracks went through a number of iter

Grand Prix 4 Yeah, I remember Barbagallo. They could be good - Phillip Island seemed to be good too, layout-wise (not too wide), although the elevation seemed a bit dull. (I expected the drop near the end of the lap to be much more drastic.)
