Is there away to drive in the pits without the game taking control and slowing me down because sometimes the ai cars come in behind you alot faster and crash into you can become annoying when your racing up front.

I think in GP4Tweaker there is such a function to chose . (speed limiter enable/disable or something like), and in the Magic Data, it's desc69 I think:

Interesting. I always thought that the game slows the AI down just as much as you - that's reasonable considering that, after all, you're also controlled by the game from that point on.

The pre pit speed limit in the magic data only serves to adjust the amount you're being slowed down. Oddly enough, I never managed to find a value which doesn't slow you down at all when you get onto the pitlane sectors. (You obviously slow down for where the speed limiter is placed, but that's much further on, right before the actual garages. I'm talking about deceleration when you veer onto the pitlane at pitlane sector 0 or something.)

Use a 20480 value to get the lowest deceleration possible - that's what's used by the original tracks in Monza which obviously doesn't need that much speed to be scrubbed off at the point I described above.
