I think he would have been reffering to the buffeting effect on your head. where your head gets forced backwards, or sometimes the air forcing itself at you can actually get under your crash helmet and feel like it's trying to lift off your head. Braking hard and quickly will also sometimes feel like your head is being forced down towards your chest. These things are due to weak neck muscles

Off-Topic Yep Quite right. I should have looked a bit more before opening my mouth :S
I thought the foam 'mould' was retained and incorporated into the extraction part of the seat. 10 mins sifting through google shows that the foam seat is only used as a mould for the carbon fibre seat which in itself is the extraction system... Sorry nickyv

Off-Topic Nah they just use that and cover it, the foam also acts like a cushion. it might have some Carbon fibre in it where it's intergrated into that extraction thing where they can lift the driver out of the car attached to the seat....

Off-Topic Nickyv - the seats aren't actually made of carbon fibre. they're alot simpler than that, it's a foam seat that gets covered in some lovely nomex, "sit on this bag of expanding foam and wait for it to harden" sort of stuff. Now they use what looks like some sort of bean bag (the type that uses those tiny little polystyrene balls) but not really sure how that works as i

Off-Topic that's not quite right skyline. When accelerating the weight of the car will move backwards so you'll feel like you're being squashed in to the back off the seat, when you brake it's the opposite, you'll feel yourself being pulled forwards out of your seat.

Other Games I worked on a Williams corporate day last week and Nico Rosberg was there. Really nice guy happy to talk to us. When he was asked about what he thinks of the current cars he said "At the moment they're not the best looking, but I've seen the plans for next years car and it's actually quite nice, not so big an bulky as they look right now" - read into that what you will bu

Other Games Hi guys,
I've been skinning cars for GTR2 and rFactor for quite a while, but am now getting increasingly annoyed with the program I am using. I use Gimp 2.0 as it was described to be very good, similar to paintshop oh and FREE. I've found however, that when using it to skin cars for rFactor I get this very irritating glassy/chrome/shiny finish all over the car that I just don't

Off-Topic They've been at the bedford autodrome this week too. I wondered what they were doing....... It was a corporate thing for Williams sponsors, and that was all filmed by eurosport. Infact I had to instruct Sam Michaels around in an XKR, he's mad...... Very competitive?! but a nice guy.

F1 well technically true, but you can find pics of the new Arai GP6 which should be out next year.

It does look better painted though obviously.

F1 I've got fifa 09 on the wii and i love it! They really messed up last year when they practically just converted the game across all formats. This year however a different story, the games been adapted for the wii, so graphics are pretty good and it makes the most of the wii's unique wireless gameplay, really enjoying it at the moment and i'm not really a football nut.

Other Motorsports I do not see Ford entering the s2000 spec fiesta, it wouldn't fit into the win on sunday sell on monday ideal, with Ford about to launch the next generation Fiesta. (Which is currently having it's european dealer launch in Barcelona atm) They make a 1.9 TDCi which looks quite nice but I think it's a bit too small. Surely if Ford were to enter they'd go the Mondeo route???????
