I did I can't lye, I was very lucky, still i have 8k of debt 3 years after graduating but because of the way things work, it isnt a major factor, it will be paid off quicker as my career developes. If i stay static and don't progress it just sits there... without any baliff chasing for payment or default charges, the repayment is contingent on future earnings. Also if you are struggling

Off-Topic I can empathise a lot with current students. especially as those imposing the fees on them went to university for free...
However i must temper these notions that the fees disadvantage the poor. On the face of it an extra £6k looks unmanagable when you concider present earnings.. however...
although there are other factors, which have always been a problem, paying back tuition fees has no

Off-Topic looks good, hows progress?
I might have to try and refix the wing on my 1/12 Tyrrell P34 soon, I've got some professional exams coming up though so not much time at the moment... it fell off when i picked it up a few months ago... thats the problem with plastic kits, they are so fidly and effectly have a finite life due to the materials used and the bonding getting weeker over time. I re

Off-Topic Your Jordan looks great Jim, I never used to bother with the engines to be honnest (if i was going to put the cover on) but after painting a few 1/12 DFVs and my Renault V10 they do look fantastic and your Jordan (ford?) is no exception :P. Anymore progress?
Mine with one of my favorite 1/43s for comparison. both 1/43 scale (well loco is 1/43.5!). Getting there... looking more like it shou

Off-Topic Cox wouldnt be bad - I always loved his BTCC efforts as the main man with John Watson in the booth. Hows this for a shout - (if you know him) john hindhaugh is the man for the job, a real motorsport fan, rather than these adopted fans such as crofty (as good as he is) and legard. although his distain for everything mundain about F1 (in many cases wrongly, and in many cases rightly) could cause a

F1 Do these things still sell out as soon as they are released? - If not i might be tempted to buy that one... I used to be a massive collector of 1/43s, I haven't bought one in 6/7 years now - last one i bought was Damon's Brabham when minichamps released it. I see they have started re-releasing some of the older moulds/casts, i presume with improvements. Here are a couple of my favorites

F1 Been hanging around and just reading recently - so hope no one minds my opinion, even though i havent posted a lot here in the last few years :-P
I think Gav hits the nail on the head - however, Id also say that it is important to develop and learn to use a camera like an SLR, i.e how it will react, what effect changing certain parameters will have on others and your photo etc, in what situati

I don't think its wild at all - the example is used to highlight an where a law when first implemented would have been seen as unenforceable and against culturally accepted

Off-Topic Its not a matter of enforcement, that law will be nie on impossible to inforce - its about a more longer term view, its about changing the culture. By introducing a law like this and educating people/companies/making them aware that this is going to be the way we do things around here people will gradually change and as time developes learn how to protect themselfs. I.e its a catalyst to change n

Grand Prix 4 you complain about grass carparks and the tickets consting a lot of money but which way do you want it? If you want the facilities YOU pay through higher ticket prices, i am sure you would complain about that as well. There is no way they can invest in not only buying land they don't own but tarmacing and carparking it all for 1 event a year, there is no need for anymore carparks at silverst

F1 because a lot of them have the tools used by ISI, the majority of people don't
If you are wanting to move them/build a car with different position arms, you import a default steering wheel and move your car around that

Other Games well at a race weekend the majority of teams operate out of the side of a truck with an orning... no reason why they can't do that, as they did in the early 90s

F1 hmm, not really, it became very dry when you had to toe the coperate line and when the rules lacked the ability to be creative. Its something thats gradually happened over time, but for me, especially in the last 7 or 8 years.
Just because the sponsorship came in at that time does not mean F1 became "business" like at that time. Anyone that knows what Grand Prix racing was like in th
