As much as agreeing with Lewis pains me, I'm a fair guy, and Lewis did absolutely the right thing with Maldonado and was totally correct also IMO in saying that "you always have to fight for your position". Perhaps he could have made an exception this time, as Maldonado would most likely have passed him the next lap or taken him out trying so it would have fitted into Lewis's

Pretty sure it counts as a pole and the penalty is applied 'between' qualifying and the race as far as stats go.

F1 I think HRT are even less likely to qualify but let's see. Everyone's expecting a RB/McLaren fightout and I'd take that as a given so I'm more interested in what goes on behind them; whether Mercedes can be fast over a race distance, how Lotus will do without a compromised qualifying/race, how good Sauber and Williams are after showing quite well at Melbourne. It's such a

F1 I'll take a stab at why Hamilton looked like he was about to cry. I reckon that after last year, he probably put all of the blame for his lacklustre season on his head being elsewhere and the breakup and whatever else. He probably thought something along the lines of "I'm the better driver - Jenson just got lucky because I had @#$%& going on, so I'll fix what's wrong out

1. QFT, it seems like they won't let any race run unless the cars can do it on intermediates. What's the point of the wet tyres then? Psh.
2. Lewis Hamilton.
3. The fact that Felipe Massa has been in a Ferrari since 2005. What a waste of seat in a top team

F1 I think regarding the question of Kimi's talent, F1 drivers tend to get labelled a certain way and then it tends to stick even if it's contradictory. Nick Heidfeld has always been saddled with the rep of an unspectacular driver, consistent but not star quality, and yet people act like Kubica is an utter superstar and alongside Alonso/Vettel/Hamilton. This is despite him winning only one

F1 I spent a few hours racing in online mode and the contact physics are just bizarre...makes genuinely racing other people impossible. Get up the inside of someone, if they're even slightly ahead, they can turn in on you and take their corner fine as they please while you go spinning out so you can't really overtake someone unless you're ahead of them before the corner, and if you ge

Other Games I had a really good experience at the BUKC race at Bayford Meadows last month. For those of you who don't know, it's the British Universities' Karting Championship and we race in Club100 2-stroke karts. Anyway.
I'd been to Bayford before in a Rotax about 8 years previously, back when I'd owned a kart as a young teen and wasted a lot of money (that my mum didn't re

I'd go for £10 per month.

F1 I wonder why drivers aren't hanging back in the first DRS zone in order to pass them in the second zone, rather than passing only to get repassed.

F1 In Hamilton's position, I'd find the whole "oh what Lewis you're not smiling? Why aren't you smiling Lewis? Are you going to start crying Lewis?" emotion-interrogation going on pretty annoying, lol.

F1 Always felt Massa was kind of a waste of an F1 seat. Irvine almost won a championship once too y'know. Hoping that contract for 2012 proves as firm as Heidfeld's Renault one.
Disagree about the stewards. Think their decisions (on penalties and refraining from penalising) has generally been rather good recently.

F1 If you can intimidate someone into not passing you, or being too cautious in attempting to overtake, that's a massive advantage to have. Same goes for overtaking. When people see Kobayashi come up behind them, they know he's going to throw it down the inside if there's any space whatsoever, so he gets away with it when other drivers probably wouldn't.

F1 I really enjoyed today's race. Some incidents, quite a lot of action at all stages of the race, lots of strategy coming into play with the differing gear ratios, DRS zones and choice of when to deploy KERS. A big success for the new rules I think. Another very good drive from Button - he's really removed himself from that unofficial "number 2 driver" that most of us assumed (u
