2012 F1 Car Launch Thread

The launches can't be far away now, so here's the thread...
Post any stories and pics of the 2012 cars here

One of my favourite parts of the F1 year is nearly here! Love the anticipation leading up to the car launches.

But for some reason they're launching the cars later this year... I don't think it's until around the beginning of February. The first test is on the 7th Feb (easy for me to remember, because that's my birthday lol. Will be a nice pressie to read the news about the first test.)

Yeah, there seems not to be any specific news yet about the launches or even a launch schedule easily available, I've searched thoroughly on Google News and not much has come up. Strange, with only just over 2 months now till the first race.

On F1.com it mentions that the cars now have to pass all crash tests before they start testing. That might extend launch dates?

Lol..... well.. Hahahahahah (*thumps table) it's teheheheheheh, well it's just ruined a perfectly good t-shirt for one which is a lesson to never to take a swig of tea before viewing something hilarious.

Ive just read too xero that the kinked nose looks like being common this year, im hoping to hell atleast some teams decide that a good looking car is the way forward... Why cant they have a smooth transition.

There nose kinks are looking to be a common feature for most of the teams... so damn ugly.

Well, at least the McLaren will still look good!

Please don't let every car have that horrible nose

It looks like those pics were taken right after a crash test...I bet unfortunately all the cars will end up like that. Not really what I had in mind for low noses...

I like.

As what happens all year, I could complain and say it looks horrible, but by lap 2 of the Oz GP ill love every car as if they came out my own arse.

Either way, you can rely on Torro Rosso to come up with some beautiful. They are italian, so expect it to look amazing, sound amazing and be amazing for all of about 2 seconds before something horrible happens !

The colours save the car for me. Imagine what the Force India will look like!

It looks weird now but we'll be used to it soon enough. That is because the new noses can only be 55cm high, so to fit a low nose on a high-ended monocoque, that's what has to happen. It looks like someone's sat on the end of it. Dawn French, maybe.

That looks like the 2011 car got raped by a Matchbox toy and then gave birth to this. It's disgusting.
