Loving it, wishful thinking but I hope they can provide a car that would be able to match the mercs at least.

So, if Maldonado's out, who will replace him? Any news on Bottas? He showed great potential testing in Abu Dhabi last week.

So Pedro's made comebacks in 2001, 2005, 2006, 2010, 2011 and now 2012!

But seriously, a good choice for HRT, as he's a good development driver, and that's what they need the most, not raw speed.

I'd say Sutil's their next choice - depending how much money they need. If they need money, probably someone like Van Der Garde.

At least if Adrian and Kimi teamed up they may stop crashing into each other!

Look like the Kimi to Williams deal is off:

Kimi to Ferrari 2013 to replace Massa would be fun.

I think I subscribe to the notion that we need some new blood tbh.

And why would Ferrari take back Kimi when they sacked him previously?

They didn't sack him.

How would you explain it then? Getting Santander to pay him out of his contract, which was a lot of money, seems a lot like being sacked to me!

As good as.

They signed Alonso, and Massa to drive their cars.

They ironically did it to Schumacher to fit Kimi. Luca wanted Kimi so Ferrari signed Massa and Kimi. In both cases, Kimi and Schumacher the driver was not really given the choice. They were being replaced.

Now Peter Windsor's saying that 'serious' paddock sources say Kimi will be announced at Renault shortly...

These Kimi rumours are starting to get quite tiresome. It's the third year in a row he's basically been about to sign and then it's fallen over.

Yes, but Schumacher was probably more complicit, in that he had a mentoring relationship with Massa and didn't want to take away his drive. Michael must have had some input, as Ferrari wouldn't have just sacked him.

i dont see Kimi going to Renault unless Kubica is not coming back, but readed somewhere that Kubica could have signed a pre-contract with Ferrari for 2013 and Boullier wouldnt want to wait for Robert if hes going to another team in 2013. i assumed that was just especulation as I dont see Ferrari risking for another postaccident comeback as they did with Massa, but who knows...

Team: OK Kimi so all the details are in place, I have the contract with me for you to sign. Are you happy with the salary?
Kimi: Yeah it's OK.

Team: Excellent. We've given you undisputed #1 status here, are you happy with that?
Kimi: Yeah it's nice.

Team: Brilliant. We're also committed to improving the car in the wind-tunnel on a day-to-day basis. That should help keep us on top.
Kimi: OK, yeah. Sounds good.

Team: Brilliant. Now before you sign, is there anything else you want us to consider?
Kimi: Can you give me vodka in my drinks bottle instead of that isotonic @#$%& you make us have?

Team: Errrr.....
Kimi: @#$%& thought not. @#$%& forget it.

Are you Heidfeld in disguise?

I had kind of come round to the idea of Kimi at Williams, but it's still nice to have him back. I just hope his 2 year sabactical won't have damaged his form too much. I sense Boullier probably wanted a driver who would be perceived to outperform the car, like Kubica seemed to last year.
