Are you using ZazTools v1.27? If you are, you could try uninstalling it and install 1.26 instead. Never had a problem until I upgraded and was never able to fix it, but as soon as I went back to 1.26 the problem went away.by Noog - Grand Prix 4

It's such an unusual thing to be able to recover from a black screen in GP4 that I still think it can't be the game which is causing the problem. In Win8, can you run the game and have the task manager running on top of it at the same time? That's what I'd do in Linux. If you can't so that, can you run the game in a window instead and keep an eye on the task manager aby Noog - Grand Prix 4
I don't use Windows so I can't really help, but it's very unusual to be able to recover from a black screen in GP4. Are you sure it's not a screensaver or some other power saving thing? Doesn't sound like a GP4 problem to me.by Noog - Grand Prix 4

Something new to learn every day. I had exactly this problem earlier and came across your post at almost the exact same time! Thanks.by Noog - Grand Prix 4
No no, the settings I gave you should work. The 1024x768 refers to the design area (ie not the screen resolution) and the mode 1 tells it to stretch the 'panel' to fit whatever resolution you are using. Give it a try.by Noog - Grand Prix 4
I think this should help: The dash in your first pic is being generated by the Brabham.ini file. To centre it, open the file and about 20 lines down in the section replace: Right=1680 Bottom=1050 with, Right=1024 Bottom=768 I know that's not your screen resolution, but it doesn't matter. If the dash is rotating as the engine revs up, scroll down further in the saby Noog - Grand Prix 4

Is no-one going to mention Bathurst? Can a race track BE any more exciting than that middle section? Gives me sweaty palms just thinking about it.by Noog - Grand Prix 4
You should eliminate the possibility that the fault lies within the external enclosure (or the USB port) first - so if you can connect the HDD directly to a PC it would make sense to do so. If you can't do that (because you're using a laptop for example) can you connect another HDD to the enclosure instead to make sure it works OK? You really need to be sure the enclosure isnby Noog - Grand Prix 4

Well, if I were you I wouldn't worry about all that yet. The onion has many layers and we're still peeling back the first. The championship points I mentioned in the PM are only being used to generate the basic power levels in my PF Calc, but they do not reflect how I expect any given season to end up. (Maybe if you drove 10,000 seasons it might end up like that if you added all theby Noog - Grand Prix 4

Will send PM about loading screens and a link to download them in an hour or so. Thanks. The version of the mod I'm working on is supposed to be finished tomorrow, but it's only a beta version so there's no rush to get anything to me. It can be a nice surprise for the final version in a few weeks. Don't worry. Williams won't ALWAYS be 4th, but if you completed, say,by Noog - Grand Prix 4

"i want to PF'files for Race%10 and %25 for me, %100 for you, %50 for people." OK. Once the fake data is created, it takes only about five more minutes to create a set of PFs for any race length (which has to be done because failure rates need to be adjusted). However, to create several sets of MDs to correct the pitstop behaviour for various race lengths, is actually a bit oby Noog - Grand Prix 4
