Hi all, The other day, I downloaded an Indy Oval track from here and wanted to run 200 laps. So I set it up in TSM's Magic Editor, went to drive....and as soon as the guy on pole crossed the S/F line, the race was over and he'd averaged about 48000 Km/h. (Showing that - if my maths is right - the game thinks he finished all 500 Miles (800 Km) in about a second) So is there a harby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
@Smasha: What I would recommend, coming from someone who until (relatively) recently used the classic Logitech Wingman Formula Force GP. 1) You're talking about all the wheel rotation settings; Think back to the steering wheels available back when GP4 was released. Most, if not all, would be 180 degree lock. I can see from your last post that you currently have it set as that, so lby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Some more ridiculous lap times once again from the usual suspects - brilliant job you guys are doing up the top there. (Especially all the sub 1:13 keyboarders)by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4

That's me done for the round gentleman; Just can't seem to get that .150 of a second to break into the 1:13s, but I'm pretty happy overall. Congrats to jcaranti on that lap as well, that is something special. Well driven everyone.by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4

I remember - some years ago - driving Monza and hitting 350 kph, but doing similar lap times to when I was only hitting 325 kph. There is a point where more straight line sby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Thanks Tom, PM sent. Also, I just saw this in the help for GPxLap: QuoteIt's possible that hotlaps fail to work, even if you restore before the s/f line. It seems that using a longer replay duration makes it far less likely though. I'll give that a shot, and see what happens. EDIT: Issue fixed now: As Tom suggested, I moved the reset point further back - just before those fastby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Just a couple of quick questions for people: 1) What camera view do you drive from? I've always been a cockpit-cam guy but, when having trouble at this track's fast right-hander at the top of the hill (turn 6?), I switched to the T-cam. Getting the braking zones is a bit harder I find, but I feel that I'm better able to feel when the back end's about to get away from meby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Wow......I think you read far too much into my statement. Obviously, to even make it into F1, he has to be a talented driver. My post was, really, a joke. (I still don't like him though.) As for why I would turn the TV on on a Sunday, if I thought his achievements did not take talent....well that is to watch the best motor-sport competition there is, and to watch the drivers I do lby AUS_Doug - F1
But, when comparing anything Fernando did to anything Hamilton did, you have to take two things into account: 1) Hamilton is a no-talent, whiny, stuck-up brat. 2) Fernando is not.by AUS_Doug - F1
A brilliant race, and so glad that Rosberg got one up on Hamilton. Hopefully, this weekend will finally convince people of what I've been saying for a long time now; Hamilton is one of the most unforgivably arrogant people to ever drive in F1. I personally think that Hamilton's engineer should be the poster boy for anger management; If I was him, I'd have slogged Hamilton inby AUS_Doug - F1
Yep all working now thanks. And I love the icon for the gamepad............that takes me backby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Hi Tom, Just tried submitting a lap, and I'm getting an Invalid Replay message: "Track checksum should be 2fd27f3d or 5c60c7af. Check your track files." I think I've got everything set up right, track in the correct slot etc. Cheers, AUS_Doug EDIT: And bravo to drt01 & jcaranti, a brilliant track guys; I normally get bored with tracks that are this long, butby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
This whole thing sounds like a good bit o' fun. I dislocated my shoulder before the start of Silverstone, but I was hoping to be right in time for Brazil. But, following an appointment with the orthopaedic surgeon today, looks like I'm gonna have to wait until Germany, if not Monza!by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Hi all, Over the Christmas break, I finally decided to buy an Xbox 360 - It cost me $120 pre-owned, so no complaints there. Anyway, a buddy of mine has been buying the Codemasters F1 games (2011 and '12 anyway) and, seeing as I can't convince him to play something decent like GP4, I thought I might get one of the Codies games as well, so that we can do a Co-Op championship. If they've found the time to tack some 'classic' content on there, then maybe we can hope that they've done something about the god-awful split-screen. (At least give us a Full race weekend in split-screen with car setups if you won't give us a split-screen coop) Although I still might get this - just to have the opportunity to drive Prost into a wall.by AUS_Doug - Other Games

Screenshots of the PO at various stages around Interlagos. (Using the graphics settings auto-detected by the game) The PO in the first two shots jumped by exactly 15 when I pressed the screenshot button. Wow.............just wow. I ran it, let the game auto-configure the graphics, and bang..........I was playing GP4 so smooth that it could be Vanilla. Interlagos, in the wet, no lag whatsoever. You sir, are some sort of god. (I don't know how to check the Processor Occupancy, so you'll just have to take my word that it is the smoothest non-vanilla GP4 I've ever played) Unfortby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4

That's what I thought; except I can't when using a CSM mod. I've got both set to 'no objects' and I can still see all the grandstands and all the skyline buildings. Or is this just something wrong with my PC? (again) Cheers, Dougby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Something I was wondering; Could add an option for the 'Main view' and 'Mirror' settings like you have for 'Screen resolution'? So that you could change to 'Trackside Objects' etc? Cheers, AUS_Dougby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
Well would you look at that. I installed Zaz tools onto the Hard Drive where GP4 was located, and now it works. If I'm just re-sizing textures I don't need to touch the 'flip' and 'mirror' options do I? EDIT: Turns out I don't need to but, judging by the steering wheel, I may have been a bit overzealous with my choice of aspect ratio: Cheers, Dougby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
That looks really, really nice.by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
But that's the thing; It won't let me drag the files on there. If I try, I get the circle with a line through it - Which is, I do believe, the universal symbol for 'Don't even try it' Could it be that I have Zaz tools installed on a different Hard Drive to the install of the game?by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
