Whats wrong with nitpicking? We are effectively beta testers and its upto us that use these to point out where the makers have gone wrong, if we don't we'll end up with inferior cars. This is good for the makers as it gives them more kudos because they have made great cars, they get FREE help.hint/tips from us and therefore make a better product. We then get FREE products that are asby F1Master - Grand Prix 4
Look from T-cam view while driving the Ferrari and you can see the wing is not wide enough as the endplates are clearly visible. Compare this to the view from your FW25 and its quite different, much more realistic. I know both cars are different but they both utilise as much front wing width and each other.by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
I know the sidepods of the real 18 are very shallow and taper in quite quickly but from your car it seems a bit too much, are you sure it tapers in that quickly? Everything else seems very good, excellent.by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
The nose seems a tad too high, you can see this from the fact that the gap between the bottom of the nose tip and the front wing is just slightly bigger than in real life. The suspension is not quite right either. I don't know if you can change this but if you can the Ferrari front suspension has its upper wishbone raising from the body to the wheel assembly rather than the other way whichby F1Master - Grand Prix 4
Ricardo, why do your track updates put the Toyota garage and pitwall before Minardi when in fact Toyota are last? Plus your Monaco updates, 2001 and 2002 both put the Williams pitwall behind Renault when they should be third (I'm talking about original order)by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
Erwin did you say you were doing a Williams FW25 a week or two ago as well? If so whens that ready? Great Jag by the way, the best one I've seen as Masuzohs textures and shape are not great.by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
Release it only whens its perfect nicol@cciarri, no rush. As you can see things are pretty much as they were in Monaco confirming they are keeping most of the updates. Note that the rear wing endplate has an intricate cut-out detail at the top too.by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
The card does work properly with DX9 but not with this game it seems. See if the card still slows down when playing another game with DX9 and the chances are it won't, it'll be fine. This game is tempremental to the core, we all know that so its best to stcik with what it asks for DX8.1 then you should be okay. Re-install 8.1 from the CD and try it, let us know if it worked.by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
Raise the drivers helmet, they sit too low and make the cockpit a little snugger, the driver often seems lost in the middle as the sides are so far apart.by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
Why are you using directX9? This game runs best with 8.1 which its bundled with and people have had problems using DX9 with this game. Re-install 8.1 and things should work as there is nothing wrong with that card, my cousin has one and he doesn't get slowdown, then again he's using Win98SE which is brilliant for gaming, low CPU usage so more for the game.by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
The Renault will use those double bargeboards for the rest of the year, Autosport said it wasn't Monaco specific so you can release it nowby F1Master - Grand Prix 4
Create a folder called cinfo and put it in the gpxdata folder in your GP4 directory. Then unzip all the files for the pitboard and place them in the cinfo folder. Start up GPxPatch and click the cinfo tab and use one of the panels, direct it to the cinfo folder and click on the pitboard ini file. This should them appear in the panel and it should be recognised.by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
Its not a bad effort but there seems to be a huge amount left to be done if its to be ranked as a great version. It looks to me too that the car is based on the 17D, the sidepods, the air intake above the driver, the flipups around the rear wheels, all 17D rather than 18. Don't bother rushing it, take your time and get it completely right or nobody will bother using it, us F1/GP4 fans likeby F1Master - Grand Prix 4
Cheers, thats done the jobby F1Master - Grand Prix 4
Personally I can't see where the problems lies, you have a good gfx card, processor and memory, enough to handle this game at decent speed consistently with fairly high detail. If you can double your ram that should certainly do the trick, memory's pretty cheap these days.by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
Do you need a specific utility to extract rar files as when I put the rar file in a folder and try to extract it to cars.wad using wadupdater nothing happens, i'm just left with the old cars. Only seems to happen with these single files for me, all the others work - any help?by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
64Mb or 128Mb? Either way this card should be good enough to run the game pretty smoothly with most of the detail high. Unless you have everything on full and the screen resolution above 1280x1024 it should do the trick. What are your system specs and are you using WinXP?by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
Why is this new file coming only as one rar file rather than the full set as Bojan normally sends it as? This causes me no end of problems and I can't ever get it to work, same with Masuzohs. Anyone help me find a way of doing it using wadupdater or is Bojan going to re-release this new Renault complete?by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
Does anyone else have a problem with that Toyotas textures messing up when watched from other cars' car/TV camera views? Its fine when you select a Toyota to watch from the various views but when onboard with anyone else its a mess. Also that Sauber has a few bugs I think. The nose from t-cam view appears to have disappered as though you've knocked it off and from the TV view on one cby F1Master - Grand Prix 4
Oh and the same thing with Berger Fans steering wheels too, I simply can't get them to work. Any ideas?by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
I hope its better than Vipers, his is great but it doesn't use those small bargeboards/turning vanes around the suspension and the textures are a bit blurry. Plus his exhausts aren't upto date. Can't wait to see this car as I use the Williams the most. Oh and I hope the cockpit shape seen from the top T-cam view is better than on the 2003 Jordan as that looks nothing like the oneby F1Master - Grand Prix 4
I haven't used his files before and they don't come with any instructions at all, just the single file so using wadupdater where do you install it to? I put the file in a folder (Minardi Trust for example) and update it to cars.wad but nothing happens, even though I have Bojans Minardi already in place. Do his files not work with wadupdater?by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
I can't find them here sadly. Does Caelens have his own site that I could get them from?by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
I'm fairly new to GP4 but much newer to the mod scene. I have recently been updating the game and had no problems changing carsets, especially Vipers because he included his own installing device. Others require GP4Master etc but these are troubling me. The instructions they come with are far too simple and don't spell out what exactly to do but without using these I'm missing outby F1Master - Grand Prix 4
What wheels and tyres are running on that photo, can you link me to the download ?by F1Master - Grand Prix 4
