Honestly I have to thank codemasters, if it weren't for their mediocre offerings I'd never have "rediscovered" the GP series. Years of frustration made me realise that everything I was looking for was hidden in plain sight, Geoff had been delivering the goods since 1991. Once a good game always a good game Once I returned to Geoff I never looked back, still the best ofby GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 4
Hi guys what is the initial carshape without the halo? I can't find the link for it (2017 generic?), I hate the halo in real life so I don't want to put it in the sim.by GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 3
Hi everyone, I'm wondering how to increase the time it takes for the marshals to recover AI cars? because when the AI cars crash or fail the marshal almost instantly puts them out of the race. But it would be more realistic to wait 20 or 30 seconds for the marshal to recover the car. Does anyone know if it's possible to edit this?by GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 3
I agree, not interested in any modern track and ironically the last season of f1 with proper tracks was 2001 the year of gp4, after that they destroyed hockenheim and slowly destroyed all the others. Why is there run off at parabolica it completely destroyed the cornerby GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 4
Ok thanks pipozzo I'll be sure to make sure the gearing works well with f2 enabled, I'll post up the telemetry file once I've set a good lap, but it might take a while because I'm going to develop my own set-up first and set my best lap, then I will use your set-up so I can compare the telemetry files and lap timesby GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 3
Ok thanks pippozzo I will try to upload the telemetry file here after I set a few decent laps. I'm using f2 and f7 assists, driving for Ferrari and yes I'm using the original cars and tracksby GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 3
Further Options: bias brake balance towards rear(-). If the car understeers on bumps then soften the front springs. also soften the front dampers. You want to either soften the front or stiffen the rear. Find a nice balance and then fine tune from there. Edit - also don't forget to put some front packers like pippozzo said, you want to stabilise the front if you change the balance.by GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 3

Thanks René, you've mostly clarified it for me. But there's 1 other thing that got brought to my attention... And that is the power and grip range is variable within a certain range no? So if the option is selected, your power and grip will be pinned to your team mate, but that value is variable I think. I might be missing something here.... Does anybody know or have any theories whyby GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 4
Thanks for the response Rene much appreciated SDI Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'm not sure how GPxSet can remove any lag, but if > you haven't selected anything on the GPxSet tab > and use the default session settings, it shouldn't > really change anything to the game. Hi everybody, I'm in a state of confusion as to what GPxSet is actually modifying in the game, specifically things relating to player and AI performance. Looking at the GPxPatch changelog it appears that this has been an area of constant development for an extended period of time. For personal reasons I tend to play the game in a vanilla state due to my low computer spec, however I sby GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 4
Hi mate, where can I find the Australian V8 Supercars mod?by GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 4
Hi Amador I think you have a good idea. It would be good to consolidate the various GP3 carsets, mods, tracks, and utilities and host them in 1 location otherwise we are at risk of losing them forever. GP3 stuff is the hardest to find. 1 good thing about grandprix2.de is that they seem to have managed to put all of the GP2 work in 1 location, very lucky that someone took on that project othby GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 3
Hey amador it looks like your building quite the carset collection there for some reason carsets for gp3 seem to be the hardest ones to findby GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 3
I think it should be technically possible. If you hit something hard enough your engine dies and you can't drive the car, surely there would be a way to manipulate that function but probably nobody has ever looked into it. I usually Park the car when something other than a loose wheel or puncture happens, but I must admit that when you do a 100% race it's hard to resist the temptatioby GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 4
Hi everyone, just wondering if it is somehow possible to extend the replay length beyond 1hr 30min?by GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 4

I have the same problem with hardware mode. On software mode PO never above 30%, hardware mode its on 200%. Could not find a way to fix it, so I've settled on playing the game in software mode. I've never modded GP3 before, is there any mods that support software mode or no?by GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 3
Ah ok now I understand. I'll try it out and see how it goes. GP2replay has some strange bugs too.. for example the marshalls will be standing in the middle of the track and wont go away for the whole race, sometimes the replay will show something that didn't actually happen, and you also need to make sure if you're doing a championship you need to save your game independently fby GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 3
This is crazy, I was literally watching back some races I did on GP2 with gp2video on a 1981 mod and I was wondering to myself if such a tool exists for gp3. Thanks for reading my mind. What do you mean about the rain bug? I don't completely understand... Anyway thanks mate I'll try it outby GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 3

Top idea.. honestly id be happy with with an aesthetically pleasing F1 carshape/s, like say, anything 1989-1995 or maybe anything 2003-2008, painted up in motogp liveries and performance files added and so on.. someone did these mods in GP2 way back and it was quite enjoyableby GP2tifoso28 - Grand Prix 4
I'm not against progress, I'm against the halo, and closed or semi closed cockpits completely. I'm in favour of all the safety advances made since 1950, no one should be getting hurt. I'm not suggesting these guys should be driving around in flappy leather helmets and goggles. I'm against the DNA of Formula 1 being lost, it is basically lost anyway, however the only constby GP2tifoso28 - F1
Bianchi was a freak accident. The combination of no safety car being deployed, Bianchi entering too fast, a foreign industrial vehicle being placed on track, dangerously low levels of light to accommodate ideal European TV ratings, and Bianchi sadly entering the danger zone at the speed and angle in which he did, all effectively combined to create a worst case scenario. What point is there in a head protection system in F1 if the FIA aren't going to mandate it for every open cockpit category it sanctions? The FIA need to decide what the hell F1 is. Is it cutting edge sport, show business, entertainment, theater, a pseudo test-bed for future road car technology, the political scapegoat for all the immoral injustices of the industrialised world, the pinnaby GP2tifoso28 - F1
