A big thank you to Tom for choosing my circuit to hold the season opener. I must say it was nice to have reason to fire up the game for the first time in a good while, even if it was probably only for this one round. Glad that I was able to be here for the end, looks like you all had a lot of fun over the years. Glad that Team France was able to get a win as well. Those squares are showing you the effect of the alpha channel. The alpha channel is what controls how 'shiny' cars are in game. White alpha channel = Shiny | Black alpha channel = Dull | Every value of Grey is something in-between In GIMP, where the alpha channel is Black, you see no colour, only the checker background. Check and see if your car is bottoming out too much. If the plank wears too much, the game penalises you. Hi guys, I'm encountering a problem where, with some mods, I'm only able to play in Windowed mode. The vanilla game, and the GP4 Central 1993 and 2018 mods, work just fine, but the 1994 mod and Kedy's 2002 mod give me a blackscreen at the main menu, unless I run in windowed mode, forcing me to use task manager to close. I've been having an issue that I think matches what you've described since coming back to the game. Ryzen 5 1600 & MSI Radeon RX480 8GB running on Windows 8.1 Without my PO budging from ~50% and my reported FPS not deviating from 40 (which is what I have set in the game's graphics options) I'll experience what you've described above. I went about it slightly differently than the above. In my hex editor (XVI32), I went to the hex address Rene provided (3A8DC0) and saw the 2-byte WORD values he talked about. The five pairs there read, in order, 7F 03 (Rookie), 7E 03 (Amateur), 7E 02 (Semi-Pro), 72 02 (Pro), 72 00 (Ace). Hi all, Just wondering if anyone knows of a way to disable (not just turn off) certain assists - namely auto-brake, auto-spin and indestructible - on lower difficulties? I know that you can enable them for higher difficulties with the section of a performance file. I like using the in-car setup options (BB and Diff) provided by the GPxLap module of GPxPatch, but, as the documentation notes, iby AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4

If it can be done with an .exe mod, Rene would for sure be your best bet. GPxPatch I think already keeps track of objects being loaded, but what flow on effects might come from disabling a mesh I don't know. I would have a look if I could, but time - and me knowing next to nothing about Assembly - sort of put a dampener on that.by AUS_Doug - Grand Prix 4
McLaren MP4-13 - 4K, Keyhsot 8 Keyshot 8 introduces 'Displacement maps'. Whereas traditional Bump and Normal maps simulate their effects, Displacement maps modify the actual geometry of the mesh to which they are applied.
