That's a very very old leftover in the code. I looked it up and by the looks of it, it is probably a corrupt wad file in your gp4 folder. CSM tries to determine if you're using fast wads and if something unexpected happens, it displays that message. It was not meant for displaying to the user. It's probably a leftover when I was testing a build. I can't remember. It was wriby ZaZ - Grand Prix 4
If you want to store it on a different drive or even a network path you can also use a symlink or junction point. I don't see any reason why that wouldn't work. If you are afraid of the command line then using a tool like this is super easyby ZaZ - Grand Prix 4

Sorry for the excessive amount of messages. Around the time the forum broke down I tried to post a message but the forum kept locking up. So I tried a lot of times and figured once it worked I would edit my message, but didn't succeed. I did not realize the messages did come through, so that's why there's a lot of nonsense messages. ooleeeo Schreef: --------------------------by ZaZ - Grand Prix 4
In Windows 10 I have to mount an ISO image (any ISO is fine, not necessarily GP4) to get rid of the "insert cd" message as I don't have a physical CD drive in my computer. Just navigate to an ISO file and right click and select mount.by ZaZ - Grand Prix 4

One of the values in your magic data ini file is probably too large. Try lowering the high numbers.by ZaZ - Grand Prix 4
Is it Windows 10? Maybe some of the latest updates broke something. Slimtex uses DX 8.1 for DXT compression. You can try to reinstall itby ZaZ - Grand Prix 4
If I remember correctly the 88 mod used a trick to change the offset of the text and display it in the mirror of the car. You could most likely also provide a negative value to force it off the screen.by ZaZ - Grand Prix 4

It probably didn't allow you to drag because you ran Slimtex as an administrator. Then your explorer window is running in the user token and then you are not allowed to drag from one token to another because of security. If you think about it it makes sense. As for your other problem: Start by sorting on resolution and only select the files in the window that have a (too) high resolutioby ZaZ - Grand Prix 4
It's because those tools don't have a manifest which tells Windows they are 'aware' of the rules forced upon since Vista. The guidelines were there since Win2k, but Vista is more strict in applying the rules. To prevent 80% of the existing apps from crashing the Windows team decided to treat apps who are unaware of the 'new' rules differently. When those apps writeby ZaZ - Grand Prix 4
32BOBO32 Schreef: ------------------------------------------------------- > OT: ZaZ any plan for CSM 2.0 release? :P Plan, yes Short term, no On topic: I'm surprised I don't see more reports on this. There are some flaws in the CSM system which can cause corruption if certain scenarios are met. If you run Windows Defender (which runs by default from Vista and up), itby ZaZ - Grand Prix 4
It's been a long time since I discovered those values. There's a few things I remember. I was debugging gp3 and discovered them there. Then I looked at gp4 and found it was there as well. Lot's of pieces of code from gp3 are still in gp4, but some of them are 'skipped' Another thing I remember was that I was a bit short on time, so I figured it was more efficient toby ZaZ - Grand Prix 4

WAZZAAAAAAA!!!!!! I had a ftp account on vadertrophy or something (provided by John Walton) but about a year ago my credentials stopped working. However, the files that were there were still accessible. It now looks like it is really dead, but I can't do anything about it because I have never owned it.
