thank you, but unfortunately for me it's like 'Japanese' - I am not so tech savvy........

If you can explain how I can turn the DEP off, perhaps it will be a good start....

Again, I want to insist that even though I am trying to re-install everything all over again, I am still with the SAME PC WITH THE SAME WINDOWS 7 64bit which I had before formatting..... I never had issues installing GP4 & ZaZ GP4 Tools, only now with this freeking problem......

I am SIMPLY LOST & this is really stressing/tiring me out!......!(O)

I think DEP means you need to have administrator rights with GP4 and tools, and with modern OS you don't have them, so you need to set these rights in the exe (like this : right-click on the exe > Properties > Compatibility > Run as administrator)

On an other note, did you test your game before installing GPxPatch and did it work ? And before installing CSM ?
If yes for both, your issue is only related to CSM. So uninstal once again CSM and delete the key related to it in Regedit.
It must be somewhere in "HK Current User>Software" but I can't help you much more because I don't have access to my win7 at the moment.

who installs grand prix 4 on a 64bits operating system must have to turn off this feature (DEP) ... there are other actions to be taken such as not installing the grand prix 4 and ZaZ GP4 Tools in folder in X86

pippo46?

if u want to uninstall AVG, there is a tool that removes this antivirus (look in the grisoft website) ... ditto on the Norton antivirus

AVG

[forums.avg.com]

Norton

by the way which version of norton (depends on the version)?

these antivirus leave residues in the windows registry ... are not removed by normal procedure (control panel/programs & features)

WAZZAAAAAAA!!!!!! (H)

I had a ftp account on vadertrophy or something (provided by John Walton) but about a year ago my credentials stopped working.
However, the files that were there were still accessible.
It now looks like it is really dead, but I can't do anything about it because I have never owned it.

I will thoroughly read this thread tomorrow or something to see if I am able to help with these problems and if there's a new build required for ZT, I might be able to do so next weekend or something.

hi everybody,

& again welcome back to ZaZ for clarifying the ZT situation.

I have FINALLY solved my problem, with the HELP of ALL - celinho, jorge, mortal, pete-21, phantaman (in alphabetical order)...

We are all aware there as ZaZ explained & clarified there was a problem with the FTP which hosted some files.

However my problem was not only with the ZaZ files/connection from ZaZ Tools/CSM, but also with the DEP - Windows issue.

For me, this was Japanese, & BTW, yes my OS is an ORIGINAL Windows 7 64bit (so apparently some 'securities' were enabled, just to explain how I understood it. Here (below) is the DEP Solution I followed;

For a clearer explanation, as I'm no expert, but a normal GP4 user, here is a link that is better explained for the benefit of all GP4 users -> How to install Gp4 in Windows XP/Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8

Hopefully this helps other users who have encountered a similar problem.

Wishing everybody a HAPPY 2013 GP4 Year!!!!!

THANKS to ALL(B)

The order of installing 9.6 patch and GPxPatch doesn't matter.

@SDI

thanks for your reply.

As I tried t explain above, after un-installing & trying to re-install everything, CSM 1.26 DOES NOT RESPOND - when trying to install mod. The funny thing is I tried more than 1 mod.... then I tried using TSM to install a trackpack, which funnily enough the installation of trackpack was successful....... but then who needs a trackpack when there is no decent mod which can be installed?

Really driving me sick......... hot

you need to open the properties of the .exe file of csm and set compability mode to windows xp sp2 or sp3 and run as administrator. then it should work fine.

I have been reading all your posts and find myself feeling frustated also.

I just recently re-installled GP4 and trying to use the 2013 mod... I have tried everything you have all suggested in this topic and find that i'm stuck with the original games season..

I'm using win 7 professional 64 bit...

Done everything in order including the DEP etc and still don't work when i start the 2013 mod from CSM
