I'm slightly late to the party as it were, however as a Williams fan this really made my day/evening...get in!by 97kirkc - F1

Whoops! Not sure how I managed to miss the previous page. Speaking of terrible tracks though, I think the worst mistake I've spotted is the Monaco tunnel. At what point did they view ANY images or video footage and come to the conclusion the tunnel is BANKED?by 97kirkc - Other Games

David Coulthard also got it all wrong on the warm up lap at the Italian GP in 95.by 97kirkc - F1
The rumour is that Virgin are currently trying to work out a deal with Williams for their drive-train for next year. Remember, the Cosworth engine isn't the weak point, it's the god awful Xtrac hydraulics and gearbox. By using RBRs system it means they don't have as much work to do with integrating it as opposed to a different engine supplier.by 97kirkc - F1
The original plan was for this to be a night race round the streets of some city which I cant remember the name of, but that didn't happen for whatever reason(s) so this circuit in the middle of nowhere was the alternative they had! India really is touch and go. Sure they have the "drive" for it, but there are several large hurdles in the way. The Commonwealth games are late, inby 97kirkc - F1
The writing has been on the wall for a while, and what is going on in Delhi for the Commonwealth games must make the most optimistic FIA staff member feel like they are looking into a mirror. The problems don't really stop even if they do finish it in time. There's no infrastructure in place around the circuit, the roads are apparently in no fit state to cope with the event, and theby 97kirkc - F1

Poor Pedro, lets pay our respects with a summary of his best bits from F1. :Dby 97kirkc - F1
Its very unlikely to ever be Ben Edwards. He was favourite to replace Murray ahead of Allen and at several other points since then but turned it down as he doesn't want to spend all year commuting round the world and wants to be close to home, supposedly for family reasons. He used to commentate on F1 previously on Eurosport/F1Digital+ so it's not like he's turning something down hby 97kirkc - F1

McLaren gave him enough fuel for one run, which he blew. Then the so called "miscommunication" occurred, where they basically said go for another lap which got him the pole.by 97kirkc - F1
It's likely to be called the 4G, because its rumoured that the phone will be an 3GPP LTE capable device (more capacity and speed over the mobile network), which even though this is a pre-4G mobile standard, the media have dubbed it as 4G regardless. Whether or not this will cause a massive headache for AT&T in the states remains to be seen. OS4 doesn't have multi-tasking in termsby 97kirkc - Off-Topic

I don't think it will be quite as bad as the 70s or 80s, I can't see us closing businesses early so we can have rolling black outs in order to conserve resources at this point anyway! But its certainly going to get worse before it gets better, and I hope people have realised that and aren't deluded just by a change at the top.by 97kirkc - Off-Topic
Whatever happens, its going to be a very hard year ahead. People like danm think its bad now (citing some good examples as to why), with all due respect, you haven't seen anything yet. The substantial debt that we are now in has to be reduced drastically in one form or another, regardless of what party is in power. This has been referred to Labour as why the NI increase is needed. Some of us that have been round long enough to know from the past what the Tories can be like. Lib Dems are a no go on quite a few of their policies, so its called "better the devil you know". Your comments are quite suprising though, I was under the impression you were a teacher therefore would be old enough to understand where she is coming from.by 97kirkc - Off-Topic
