Vertex shading could bring a lot to custom tracks. You can add precise shadows without a shadow object and a shadow texture, or apply shadow fading out effects. 1) Indeed, X/Y/Z are not available in the context menu, but neither are they in any version of GP4Builder I checked since GP4 Builder creation I added this to the todo list though. 2) Hmm, Sort car objects were indeed available forby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Hmm, weird but interesting. Indeed, double clicking is a feature as it is supposed to launch your tga editor program. The exact program path can be set in Preferences/Edition tabby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Remove automatic shortcut on your desktop, copy the nocd exe over the GP4.exe and try again.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4

for completeness, GP4 Builder also reads/writes track files with magic databy Lo2k - Grand Prix 4

QuoteAus_dougTom; In the 'Action' menu, there is the 'Equalize Sector Centres' option. (Near the Fix CC-cars Behaviour) Sadly, no. Equalize sector is doing the reverse : it takes uneven sectors and make center at the center of the sector. What would be needed here is the reverse feature but right now I don't know how I could to compute it. So the only way actualy isby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4

I never get any crash and if ever, I'm patching it immediately. Did you notice it was crashing at a particular moment, when using a particular feature ?by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Maybe if auto-brake is on , car will slow down to pitlane speed limit... I can remember something this kind.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Open the .tex file for this shadow (in TexResizer) and check that transparency selected is "full" and format is "DXT5". I bet your transparency is on "semi".by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
you can also set camera value to the exact number of .dat cameras and check if any improvement.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
You can fix any incorrect GP4 folder registry entry with this little file and try again to start Team Editor but I don't get why it did nothing when you first selected the GP4.exe file.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Maybe something linked to your sound card. You might try to reinstall your audio drivers and/or disable accelerated/3d audio in game options.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4

I got the white cars too after a recent reinstallation of the game + patch + nocd. This was due to the fact some values were left from past GP4 installation in windows registry. So when I installed game it was ok, when I installed patch, it seems to install something but warned me it was already installed (so it wasn't installed), and thus I installed 1.02 nocd over a non patched game, resby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
@Doug : I didn't notice it but you are using an old version of GP4 Builder and indeed, this version was causing the error you described. A new version, GP4 Builder 2015 is online and it doesn't have this issue so you can just grab it and your track from .dat conversion will be fineby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
This kind of error is very rare. You will find a backup of your track (in the state when you opened it) in the backups folder that was created in the same folder as GP4 Builder itself. From here, please try again. Open the track, make your changes, save!, then try the Track from .dat feature. If it fails again, please share your .gp4 with me and I will check what's happening here.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4

Yep, each glass (each glass in the same plane or each individual glass if needed) must be in a separate object, and you have to check center (marked as a 3 colored axis in GP4 Builder) is correctly aligned with each glass center. (If it's not after face detach and you recomputed coords with the dedicated button, save the track, reload it and recompute coords again). Do the same for the verby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4

Car mesh is quite impressive but why tyres are always 3cm inside tarmac on each screen ?by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
For cars, texture alpha layer is used for reflexion, not for transparency (but brake disks and plank). So you can't have a (semi)transparent AND reflective surface in game.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
@Auscain : That's the idea, but so far, only cars receive denv maps despite my attempts.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
"File access not granted" It seems you are not logged as administrator on your computer. Maybe running Team Editor with option Run as administrator could help (not sure anyway).by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
