I can't see your screenshot... can you share it another way ?by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
986 textures indeed !by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
My forum record says 11 years too and my tools gp4form files footer says 13 : ======================================================================= Copyright Laurent Rousseau 2002-2015 : 13 Years devoted to GP4 ! That sure is a long time we are here around this game Happy Birthday GPGames !by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
@NickJ : Sorry, it is a side effect of the new way GP4Builder handles files. I had to redo all the menu state activation and it seems this one slipped through my tests. For this particular feature, I believe you will need to use a past version like 1.991XE.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Also check this other thread wich describes the same issue.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
pas de soucis Tojepoby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Names of the .gp4 and the .dat must match, either like original names (track2001.gp4 and S1ctxx.dat), either by using the exact same name for both.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
2 other ideas: - Do not use the original shortcut on your desktop - Did you install the game in C: ?by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
@Maxi82: I just tested exporting a full track in wrl, then I opened it in Deep exploration 6.5, saved it as .3ds and imported it back in an empty .gp4 file. Everything seems to be here. @xandy: Yes, new lighting was implemented only a couple days before the release but it was already looking so good that I kept it even if I wasn't able to make all the tests I wished. I did a few tests oby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Well, we might ask R@mF1 about it, as he is the Deep Exploration specialist On my side, when you open the .wrl in Deep Exploration, can you see all of the objects yet ?by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
@Shroeder, Gildoorf and kerleyF1 : Glad to offer you such good times @Xandy : and when you are not in zoom/rotate mode, just in usual move mode, is it slow too ? (I suppose so but who knows ?)by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Well, the new lighting applied in 2015 to mimic game lighting and get vertex painting wysiwyg needs a bit more GPU resources as before as now front and back faces of all the objects are computed for lighting instead of only front faces before. So for some CPU/GPU couples that are not very friendly with OpenGL, it might be quite slower to draw the scenes as you surely experiment. Sadly if itby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Glad you like it For curiosity, what part get such a gain ?by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Nice to hear it worked as expected Have some nice races !by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Really ? banks have to be perpendicular to the road for garage sectors ?by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
@Maxi82: did you set F7 commands with right width >0 for all of the garage sectors ?by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Car garage rest position is set in Magic data (distance from track and orientation, items 91, 92 and 93 in GP4 Builder)by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Sounds fine with the braking zone. I was rather thinking about apex and escaping zone. BTW, they could have made them more slippery in GP4 as they could have set them "hard surface" behaviour (I thought they did so) but I just checked and they used the "tarmac" behaviour. So sidelines react exactly the same as pure tarmac actualy.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Do you mean you never let ccline covering sidelines ? Because of the fact they are slippy in wet conditions ?by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
@SDI : Is there any rule I could add to GP4 Builder to detect such cc-line errors ?by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Everything is possibleby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
I don't know if it is applicable here but don't forget to go into "Action\Fix cc-cars behaviour" after track layout was done and before any work on cc-line. Also using latest GP4 Builder could help.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
It's surely because you copied decrypted exe before the patch. You would have better to reinstall completely : first GP4, then the patch (install it, don't copy files !) then the decrypted exe, and test if it works fine. Also never use automatic desktop shotcut. Delete it and recreate it from the GP4.exe file.by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Didn't you forget to install GP4 patch 9.6 (aka 1.02) between install GP4 and NO CD 1.02 copy/paste ?by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
I second that, as being part of it for sure, but also as a man that would like to thank all the other guys around, making new mods, using my tools or not, giving reports sometimes, creating new cars or tracks year after year. Thanks everyone for all your time and passion !by Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
Yep, I saw it and kept it. it's vertex painting result. Indeed ZM (for an unknwon reason) saves shapes giving them a green tint to every vertice. You are able to see it somewhat as tint is a little visible with dynamic envmaps. There's a special feature for it since a long time in Tool Menu (but I discovered lastly that it was only working at part level). Now you can fix it the same wby Lo2k - Grand Prix 4
