Hello, Loren. Whatever became of the new version of your 1989 F1 carset that you mentioned as being nearly readu, two months ago?by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
The CC cars have the handicap of having to use the same setup for both dry and wet races. Another possible "realistic" solution, is to have a different set of "wet magic data" to use for wet races with different setups for the CC cars.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
There are three splendid different addon versions of the Le Mans Circuit de la Sarthe (much more accurate and better than the "Le Mans 24 Hours" game version) for Sports Car GT (two of which, 1986 and 1989, are without chicanes). All of these tracks have both day and night versions, and wet versions of both (with really splendid falling rain about as good as GP3's {and actually emaby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
To answer my own question: It seems that you haven't quite solved the more than 99 laps problem as the sky still turns black at 100 laps. Lovely track otherwise. Thank you.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Sounds good, How do you manage 125 laps? Can other oval tracks be made to be able to have races of over 100 laps with no problems?by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
I really don't understand why televsion and photographers always focus on the cars in races when it's obvious that what race fans really want to see most are close-ups of the advertisements, kerbs, and track buildings.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Yes, but all those Senna fans would just absolutely love to have a Donington Park that they can run in the rain as the 1993 wet race there is always referred to as one of Senna's greatest races and his first lap in that race is often called the greatest lap ever driven in a motor race.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Of course, we all would love to get ahold of both of them, even more.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
The problem with the 1982 carshape is that it has no front wing. This causes GP3 to crash when damage is indicated as occurring to this car part which does not exist in this carshape. This problem can be easily solved by using GP3Master to change the damage for this car part to 0. If you do this, then you will be able to use the 1982 carshape with no further problems.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Vader, In your screenshot the "speed readout" is in the "right" place. That is where the maker of this wheel (Roman Mika?) decided to put it. You didn't like the replay logos, LCDs, and gearshifter that I sent you?by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
The Raceway at Belle Isle, Detroit track is pretty good in the latest version except that it needs to have the pits finished and a good CC-line done.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
16 of the 19 2001 CART circuits exist for Grand Prix 3. The 3 missing ones are Denver, Miami, and Mexico City (The 2 GP3 versions of the Mexico City Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez are both of the one used for F1 events from 1986 to 1992 and are different from the layout of that circuit as used by CART.).by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
With GPxPatch and Paddock Championship Editor, what's keeping you from running more than 16 tracks? I have a 2001 CART Grand Prix 3 with all 21 correct 2001 CART circuits: 1. Fundidora Park 2. Long Beach 3. Texas Speedway - Fort Worth 4. Nazareth Speedway 5. Twin Ring Motegi 6. The Magic Mile - Milwaukee 7. The Raceway at Belle Isle - Detroit 8. Portland International Raceway 9. Burke Lakeby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
If you don't like the black Donington Park tarmac (as I certainly didn't and the track didn't look like that in 1993, either), it's fairly easy to simply replace the tracks tarmac textures with ones of your own choosing.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
It's actually pretty fair, if a bit too wide with a not quite perfect CC line. You probably haven't seen the really big problem with this track if you haven't tried it in the rain. Matthew Burge once posted directions for fixing this on a now defunct GP3 forum, so I'm afraid that these directions are now lost, and he never replied to my e-mail to him inquiring about how to fixby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Vader, Check your mail and let me know if there are any problems.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Is your e-mail that I can send them to the "larth_vader@..." inyour profile?by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
1.No Denver or Miami circuits yet. Paul Edmonds said that his next project will most likely be the Miami circuit. 2.Matthew Burge's website is still there, but there have been no updates of any sort in a very long time, not even any forum posts, and he never replied to my e-mail to him many months ago. 3a.I don't know what causes the occasional transparency problem that you mention anby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Best wishes for a merry Christmas and a happy upcoming new year!by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Mr.Cabellero, I was speaking of your backgrounds that you yourself referred to at . I see that now you have uploaded another different set to this website here that was not previously available here. Mr.Strayer's set is not a duplicate of this one either. I only feel sorry that you are unable to admit your mistakes and insist on persisting in you calumnies and obscenities, apparently inby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Well, I certainly appreciate them, for one, Patrick.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
There have been a number of attempts to do this. The reports of the results that I recall reading were that, at best, the wheels showed correctly in the CarEditor, but the same old original GP3 wheels showed up in the actual game.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
I compared NASCAR Heat and NASCAR Racing 2002 Season in 1280x960 resolution and 16 bit color. At those settings, NASCAR Heat is clearly much better looking than the NASCAR Racing 2002 Season demo. The original NASCAR Heat cars are really impressive, the best-looking original cars that I have seen in any PC game, period. Incidentally, if you find the most difficult of the three NASCAR Heat "by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
I don't have NASCAR Racing 2002 Season. I have NASCAR Racing 3, which is undoubtedly the worse looking PC racing game of the last 5 years. I downloaded the demo of NASCAR Racing 4 in order to see what all of the fuss was about (incredible graphics! the fanatics all said), and then the demo of NASCAR Racing 2002 Season for the same reasons. What I discovered in both cases was that the graphiby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Ellis, Let's not fight, okay? I just really dislike misleading statements (however slight and unintentional) being made about a game that might lead prospective purchasers to be a little disappointed with a possible purchase. For example: GP500 is a fine game with many different motorbike racing series seasons' "mods", but it's only fair to tell prospective buyers thaby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Infogrames did not develop these games. they bought the rights to them from Hasbro. It's a good bet that they were not aware that there were different versions that may have a compatibility problem. So... , they would sell them together. Rather than cursing them for it, let them know about the problem.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Grand Prix 3 was released at the end of August 2000 in the Americas. Grand Prix 2 tracks are not at all easily convertable to Grand Prix 3. If they were, we would have had all Grand Prix 2 tracks in Grand Prix 3 two years ago, and we still aren't anywhere near having that done. As I stated earlier, some zealots just cannot keep exaggeration and mis-statements from appearing in their commenby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Pictures of prospective upcoming mods are not addons that anyone can use in a game. Larry O'Meara has fixed some kerbs at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. I did not say that no one had done anything substantial with GP4 track graphics. What I said was that most tracks had not had anything substantial done other than their adverts. Grand Prix 3 has over 180 addon tracks and Grand Prix 4 has nby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
I think that this looks like the layout of an earlier version of the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve as seen in Paul Hoad's GP3TrackEditor, I only have a few not terribly detailed and quite small track maps to compare it with, but, of course, I would love to have a closer look at it. The symptoms that you describe are what occurs if you either are not using GPxPatch or the track does not have correct magic data in it.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
