No, you don't. As you can see from his PO figure, they're horribly slow. That's what the s stands for. Post Edited (03-29-03 11:50)by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
It seems as if our friend doesn't understand irony and is taking you literally, Vader.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
He's asking about GP3-2000, not GP3. GP3Edit and GP3Master are for GP3, not GP3-2000.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
1.Insert the correct track record data into the individual track .dat files with Paul Hoad's Track Editor. 2.To do this, open the track .dat file with the Track Editor, then click on "Track" in the top toolbar, then select "Track Name (GP3 Info)". 3.Here is an example of the correct format that the track records have to be entered in: "1:26.379, Nigel Mansell, Wilby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
There's a workaround for that problem floating around somewhere in this forum.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
The Melbourne circuit is the only original GP3-2000 track that will not work in GP3, as the .dat file is just a shade larger than GP3 can accomodate. There are modified versions of the GP3-2000 Melbourne track that will work in GP3, such as Matti Laitinen's, for example. Probably, almost all (every one that I have ever tried, at least, except for Macau, which the GP3 "version" oby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Open up the log file. GPxPatch will record the cause of the "error" in its log file. I would then suggest going to Rene Smits' (the maker of GPxPatch) website's forum and asking him what it all means (as he is likely to understand the GPxpatch log, while most other people will not).by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
What does it matter how quick the AI are at Semi-Pro level? I would think that the important thing is that they should kick most everyone's behind at Ace level. The fastest race lap at Miami in 2002 was only 1:02.906 by Christiano Da Matta.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
1.You select whether you want to use a graphics card (hardware mode) or run GP3 in "software mode" in Options/Graphics/Render Device. 2.I don't understand this question. Could you try to be a little clearer? 3.I've never gotten this error message. Where is it, in GP3 or GPxPatch? Does GP3 CTD?by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Or from this website, here. Or from most any GP3 website. Get the decrypted gp3.exe and don't bother trying to use the decrypter. It's a whole lot easier that way.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Have a look here: I suspect that what you'll want is the carset with carshape by Pierre Lemaire. The carset by Slygue which uses the original GP3 carshapes is there, also. That's a good GP3 website to bookmark. If you can't find it either on that website or this one here, then it is fairly likely that it doesn't exist for GP3.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
This is the 2002 Indianapolis circuit by Ricardo Lampert, yes? I just downloaded it from the link that you gave and it worked just fine. 1.Are you certain that you are running GP3 in hardware mode? 2.Did you put all of the .jam files into the GP3jamsH\Ind3jam folder? 3.Did you put the .jip file into the GP3jams\Ind3jam folder? (Please note the different GP3jamsH and GP3jams folders.) 4.Are you uby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
You may well have a corrupt file. Try downloading it again, maybe from a different website. Perhaps you might tell us precisely which Indianapolis track you are referring to and where you downloaded it from, so that we might be able to tell you if anyone else has had the same problem with this downloaded track?by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Yes, and you can probably find it on this website. (Look for a "Le Mans" carset for GP3.) However, GP3 only supports a single carshape for all of the cars, and as sports cars tend to be vastly different from each other in appearance than modern-day open-wheel cars, this is a major problem to having anything resembling a sports car carset for GP3 . Also, the wheels of the cars show throby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
The "Thrustmaster" line of steering wheels are very good (you can check reviews to confirm that this is not just my opinion) and are generally much lower priced than other brands. They are also somewhat more substantial in construction than other brands, generally using actual steel and rubber rather than just all plastic.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
1.GP3-2000 allows you to have two different liveries for teams (very usefull for CART). 2.I suspect that GP3-2000 allows you to have different setups for the AI for wet and dry qualifying and racing. 3.GP3-2000 uses individual performace files for each individual race rather than just one performance file for an entire season. 4.GP3-2000 has very slightly better AI than GP3. 5.GP3-2000 has deby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Almost all F1 seasons prior to 1977 used at least one circuit that had a length greater than is possible in GP3. I like GP3 because it offers the realistic possibility of recreating historical seasons on the tracks that they actually took place on. I really dislike the pretense common to other racing games of racing cars from different years on circuits that they never raced on in reality aby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
I use it for 1995-2002 F1 and 2001 CART. It's possible to run many other open-wheel race seasons in GP3. It should be possible to eventually fairly accurately recreate any open-wheel race season from 1977 to the present in GP3.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
GPxPatch has absolutely nothing to do with GP3 car camera positions. Tell us exactly how you are attempting to change the car camera positions with the CarEditor and then we'll be able to tell what, if anything, you are doing wrong.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
It also lacks the correct 1995 circuits. Nothing close to the 1995 Montreal, Hockenheim, Monza, Nurburgring, or Adelaide. I've only taken a very quick spin, but my AI opponents seemed to be having an appalling number of mechanical failures in just the first few laps of the race.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 4
I have downloaded it. It is for F1 2002. Absolutely no doubt about it. Here is the start of the included readme file: ************************SEASON 1995 MOD FOR EA SPORTS' F1 2002 by**************************** Carshape & Texture Design Project (CTDP) www.ctdp.de.vu *****************************************************************************************by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 4
I did suspect as much. It's odd that there has been no mention of this on any F1 200x forums, though But you haven't actually downloaded it all yet, have you? Well, as I have both games and the download is still currently running at over 20kb/s, I think I'll stick it out to the end at this point and then let you all know what it is for certain once I have it. Are you certain? You've downloaded the entire file?by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 4
Yowza, It just jumped up over 40kb/s. Maybe I'll get it all this week, after all. Then again, maybe not, as it's rapidly sinking well below 30 kb/s now.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 4
0.7kb/s now on DSL. Less than an estimated 70 hours to go. As your very likely to get it quicker than me, matthewp, would you be kind enough to let us know just what is in this "1995 mod" and what game it is for?by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 4
Maybe longer. I'm down to less than 2.5 k/s now, and it's getting even slower all the time. (Lucky thing that I just picked F1 2002 out of a "bargain bin" out of curiousity to see if it would be as dissappointing as the previous F1 200x versions.)by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 4
Ummm.... This is a Grand Prix 4 forum, right? The download of the "F1 1995 mod" that you reference in this thread is in the F1 2002 download section of the website, not the Grand Prix 4 section. Are you certain that this is for Grand Prix 4 and not for F1 2002, or has the website where the download is available made a mistake? Such huge downloads are an F1 200x addon makersby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 4
If I recall correctly, the best GP3 1997, 1998, and 1999 F1 carsets by Jan Frischkorn, all came with generic 1997, 1998, and 1999 F1 carshapes by Martin Haans. They should be available from this website.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
