No doubt a resounding unanimous yes! will be heard from all. However, personally, I'd much more rather see some earlier CART carsets, say 1995-1999, rather than an F1 carset for a season that hasn't even started yet, and won't be completed until nearly the end or the year, meaning that either all of the teams, liveries, drivers, and performances are sure to be instantly out-datedby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Regarding GP3 carpainters: Very many of these cars were painted before GP3-2000 was released. There was no way that people could know that there would be changes that would cause problems with using these cars in GP3-2000, or even that there would be a GP3-2000, much less that there would be any possibility of using GP3 cars in GP3-2000.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Let me guess..... One very slow invisible team with all transparent livery and drivers? No, that wouldn't work. I suppose that you'd still have a couple of sets of just four wheels with no car, getting in everyone's way. It does present an amusing picture though, doesn't it?by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
I know that GP3-2000 recognizes a certain "black" color as being "transparent", that GP3 does not, so that particular "black" color cannot be used in GP3-2000. I'm afraid that I do not know what the specific "RBG" values of this color are.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Thanks, Larry, I've got it now, too. Thank you, also, Ricardo, but I just thought that I would point out that it would probably be appreciated by more than a few folks if your Melbourne 2001 for GP4 were more easily obtainable than only just from multiplayer.it .by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 4
1. It is not normal. 2.Therefore, either there is something wrong with the cockpit or wheel that you are installing or their installation instructions, or you are doing something wrong.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
rahul, The title and subject of this thread is "Albert Park, Melbourne 2001", not Melbourne 2002. Ricardo, You didn't actually say whether you had made a Melbourne 2001 update. Have you?by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 4
So, no one is going to actually answer my question? Has anyone actually ever successfully downloaded a 2001 Melbourne track graphics update for Grand Prix 4 from aywhere?by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 4
The problem is not the former. I am a "registered" user of that website, which I went to the trouble of becoming when I discovered that they apparently had just about every "mod" ever made for Half-Life (many of which have long been unavailable anywhere else). I am assuming that this particular file does not exist, as I cannot download it, and I have never had any difficultby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 4
Gee. This is supposed to be a "new" idea? It's been possible to run a multi-year F1 career in Grand Prix 3, and Grand Prix 2, for years now. (And both of those games, even seven year old Grand Prix 2, look better than those screenshots).by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 4
Could you folks confirm for me that no one has done an Albert Park, Melbourne 2001 track graphics update for Grand Prix 4? The only one that I have ever seen is allegedly the one by Ricardo Lampert at Multiplayer.it, but the download link to it does not work. I have never seen this offered at any other website, and as the file seemingly does not exist at Multiplayer.it either, it seems a fair asby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 4
That turquoise color should be transparent in GP3. Your system obviously doesn't recognize it as such and insists on displaying it instead. Does this happen if you run the game in software mode? If so, then it would probably be a problem with your graphics card.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
WARNING If you've been playing GPx series games, you may be more than a little put off by the F1 200x AnI (Artificial non-Intelligence), which is none too good by any standards and really just plain stinks in comparison with GPx games. Also, don't expect the cars to achieve realistic speeds and laptimes, nor the tracks to be terribly accurate, nor addon tracks to have any AI at all, noby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 4
bigears, Check your mail. I sent you all of the GP3 physics files that I have, both those that I have put together and also all that I have downloaded by others.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Yes, they are. I don't recall where, I'm afraid. Maybe in "Miscellaneous"? Just run a search.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Yes. Go to Options/Controls/Advanced and change "Max Lock" to "20 deg". How's that for a fast answer to your question?by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Here are the cam settings that I use for my ingame overhead view: (0,0,3750)(D=0 P=-90 R=-60)(257 32767)(257 257) Of course, for your purposes, you'll want to move the camera lower (mine is set as high as is possible in GP3 without introducing any glitches into the view, for replay viewing purposes), and probably change the orientation of the car (mine is set at a 60 degree angle so as toby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
When you configure your controller in the game, you have to create a "control set". That should solve your problems.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
You can only turn off the steering assistance in Grand Prix if you are using an analogue game controller (i.e., a steering wheel). You cannot turn off steering assistance in Grand Prix 3 if you are using a digital game controller (i.e., a joystick, gamepad, or the keyboard).by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
1.If you don't use GPxPatch, then you will only be able to use various addon tracks in certain circuit slots, and there will be some (shorter ones) that you will be unable to use in virtually any circuit slots at all. 2.The fuel consumption is a "magic data" issue and not a GPxPatch one. 3.GP3 ordinarily reads fuel consumption and other "magic data" from the gp3.exe, whby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
The circuit named 9116Adelaide.dat in the 1991F1 TrackGraphicsPack is Adelaide. The circuit named 9115Suzuka.dat is Suzuka. This is the first that I have heard of such a problem as yours. Wherever did you download it from?by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Another easy way is to use the drawings of the cars that are found in F1 and CART Autocourse annuals and the like. The problem here is that these drawings are generally only of broadside views with hardly ever any overhead pictures at all. Paul's method requires a fair amount of artistic ability. My suggestion does not.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
The 1991 carset by Simon Mallett and Scott Stark would be my choice.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
An easy way is to set up your car cameras so that you can take a broadside and an overhead screenshot of the cars ingame, then cut, resize, and paste the car pictures into the menu art bitmap.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
The 1991 F1 Track Graphics Pack includes tracks. It was released quite some time ago, so there have been a few more accurate 1991 vintage configuration tracks released since then.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
There were very fine 1995 F1 carsets for GP3 made by Rolland Fritsch and Bojan Tarticchio. If you can't find them at this website, then have a look at the other largest GP3 website, specifically here:by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Go to this page here: and download and install the: "Honda 1989 Sound" and "Mugen-Honda Start". These sounds are genuine sounds of Ayrton Senna's McLaren-Honda from 1989 for Grand Prix 2, but they work in Grand Prix 3 and are quite appropriate for F1 cars for the time period of 1988-1992 when these Honda engines were in use in Formula 1. They sound splendid with the phby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
We all use both of them. One has nothing to do with the other. I'm afraid that I don't understand what your difficulty might be.by JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
Once again, the two websites with far and away the most Grand Prix 3 downloads are this site here andby JackiMatra - Grand Prix 3
