iRacing.com Announces 2010 World Tour

Starting next month iRacers will be able to participate in the iRacing World Tour, a series of same-weekend virtual versions of more than a dozen of the world's top motorsport events. Beginning in January with the Grand-Am Rolex 24 at Daytona International Speedway's road course, and then continuing with the Daytona 500 in February, the Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring in March, and including the Indianapolis 500 and the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, iRacing has scheduled a total of 14 events ranging from American short-track classics to Formula One and Australian V8 Supercars. The series concludes in November with the running of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series finale at Miami-Homestead Speedway.

just bought iracing and finally downloaded all of the updates and now trying to download some cars and tracks i want. can't wait to try it atleast it will give me something to do while i got bloody q fever

I have fallen out of love with iracing again. A couple of races where i seemed to be a magnet for other people's accidents saw my SR rating plummet. Got myself back up to a D 3.54, is that enough to get promotion to a C?

Yes, if you wait until the end of the season, you'll get promoted with that SR, providing you've met the MPR.

iRacing announce virtual version of the AT&T Williams FW31‏

BIRMINGHAM, UK (January 14, 2010) – iRacing.com will build a virtual version
of the 2009 AT&T Williams FW31 and make it available to members of its
internet-based global motorsport simulation service. The announcement at
the Autosport International show was made jointly by Williams F1 and

Ok, well I've joined and have observed that the ford spec racer is so twitchy - My best laptime is 1:00.1 around Lime Rock Park but I'm spinning every other lap just about. Don't dare try a race until I've mastered running for at least 10 clean laps

Won my first race :D That certainly was fun, my first race I was taken out twice and was very frustrated, but the next race was tremendous...it's so brilliant being able to race against people of similar ability. Can't wait to rank up and try some of the better cars. Still lots of room for improvement for me though, my car control leaves a lot to be desired. One might call me a bit 'raw' :p

This game ... sorry sim ... does have some nice features. I wish I had the time to give it a go. I think this my might be my first post - I've finally contributed something!

My best lap in the Jetta at New Hampshire RC, 1.16.197, only 3 tenths behind 2 times Jetta cup champ Wyatt Gooden and third in qualifying of the whole series at the moment, so I'm very happy with it

You have auto-blip turned on, n00b n00b n00b!

You are a noob. Yes in all cars I do use auto-blip, but you should have known that the Jetta has an automatic DSG transmission, if you did abit of searching you would have seen this:

Driving a car with a twin-clutch/DSG transmission
Twin-clutch equipped cars do not have a clutch pedal; the clutch is engaged and disengaged automatically.

I wish I'd saved the replay from our race on Friday Byron when I managed a 1:15.953 trying to catch you back up. It's still the WR race lap t the moment!

Anyone else planning to do the Daytona 500? It's from 1am for me, but it's weekend anyway, bought the Impala SS cup car today :P
