"Hi there

I'm hopeless at making tracks..."

Cough, bullshit, cough.

Yeah, it is great. Left a little comment on the rF central page :P

Seriously though, great work.

Wgat kind of game this is?? I would like to have this game...it's not gp4?
Haha sorry but Im afraid I'm not too well up on GP4 track making at all :) I wish i was though but it would probably mean relearning everything, lol, and it took me near enough 5 months to get the hang of this as it was. If anyone is willing to convert it for me though ( ;) ) then you have my permission. Btw Pontini, the game is called rFactor :)

Just a quick bit of news for you btw! I'm currently working on a patch to help improve the FPS and it also includes a new layout and should hopefully be done either this week or next ;-)

Where can i buy this game? And it is a bit like gp4?
Similar thread here about rfactor :)

and here is rFactor's official website where you can buy the game. It's download only so you wont find it in the shops :)

Ok ....it is driveable with a keyboard and there is no way to buy this dvd-rom? I have seen some of these videos and it's very nice, even better then gp4.
Thats not completely true, ISI have released the RFactor game on dvd, you can buy it from amazon £17.99 GPB

Ok thanks and my other question was ..is it driveable with keyboard?
Fincent Wrote (in another thread):

As for keyboards, yeah you can get away with it (there's all sorts of driving assists) but you probably wouldnt get maximum enjoyment from it. I spent £40 on a wheel and it was well worth it, made driving so much more enjoyable and you can actually get much better times once you get used to it lol.

go to www.rfactorcentral.net and download the 1.255 Lite version (100mb smaller), or go to www.rfactor.net and download the 1.255 regular version (which has maybe one more car for you to try) and after playing it for a few days or week(s), think thoroughly and decide whether it would be a good buy or not. You can check how the game drives with the aids turned on and off, see if it runs well on your PC and pretty much answer all of your gameplay questions.

New version now uploaded :) check out the rfc page here:

" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">

New for this version includes:
- Added a new layout! You can now race around the 3.268km 'Thermalito West' configuration of the track which is ideal for lower category cars.
- Improved FPS. They're still not fantastic but they're definitely better than the initial release and probably as much as I can squeeze out of the track. Although there is still a slight slowdown in places, it's not much more than you would normally experience at other tracks.
- Improved the track surface by adding some 'wear-and-tear' in the form of small dips and bumps around the circuit (NOTE: for this to take effect you must make sure you follow the instructions carefully and delete the old HAT data)!
- Tweaked 'glistening' on road surface. Tarmac now looks more grainy.
- Added much more vis grouping so that detail levels have more of an effect and now some things will only show up at a race weekend (such as crowds).
- Minor changes to the AI and camera angles.
- New loading screens and menu icons.

Hey Fincent, once again sorry I couldn't test this patch before but as I've written I've been quite busy and was looking forward to having some time this weekend but I am glad to see the other testers put in some effort ;), I really hope this will make the track reach Hall of Fame!

Thermalito just entered the Hall Of Fame at rfactorcentral. Congratulations to Fincent!

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.
