Theres a new F1 mod out. F1 Xtreme Racers 2006 or something. I think its another GP4 rip set, it is rather good though. needs some work, but i find it to be much better than the FSONE package. probably goes down to personal taste.

or RH 2006, just don't support those mods by any means, it will only make these pirate conversions even more common and popular

The mod is bad.
Very bad.
They did credit the original authors in the readme though.
CTDP 2005 is keeping me well occupied atm anyway.
I only have that and FBMW and Megans installed atm.

As far as im concerned, they are the best mods, and only ones worth dloading on my worse than 56k uni connection ;)

lol yup !
its @#$%&.
at best I will download at 10k/s

average is about 2-3. If that :p

But i got DC++ and connected to a uni hub.. so dload speeds vary from around 300k/s to 800k/s lol.

the uni hub is internal ... its bound to be quicker.

like sending things from one uni block to another takes seconds... i download songs from other uni people in literaly 2seconds lol.

I think the reason for the @#$%& net connection is something to do with going wrong on updating the system...

the problem is across the board, even Warickshire uni up the road, who have the same net provider get shite speeds.

the provider is called ReziNet.

Another example of how shite it is, is ive just got dloaded an old game, its 1.10Gb and it took almost a week to download via bit-torrent and it was a healthy file.

The worst thing is pictures tho :(

this game is impossible with a keybpard. slight touch and it goes at right angles. worse than ea sports offerings. treied all the settings, setting digital steering etc. but no effect.

Or change the steering angle or something to something around 14.0 (on the screen where you set your wings)

As far as I know, there are some pretty amazing keyboarders out there, that can beat top level sim-racers that are using a wheel - so keep digging. Even though you seem to struggle, it is being done by others as you read this. You will probably not get it going without some aides... A bit of TC, some stability control, and some steering help should get you on the right track.

It is probably a better choice to buy a wheel though. They are pretty cheap nowadays!

It's only after we've lost everything, that we are free to do anything.

i was thinking about buying a wheel but really cant spare the money atm. i wouldnt mind seeing a hotlap from a keyboarder and seeing what settings they use. i tried that setting giumengo infact ive set the car up to understeer and be as "dead" as possible but still huge oversteer.

Do you have speed sensitive (I think) steering on? That should help with keyboards.

Rapid, the game is impossible without steering help and tc.

The rest you should be fine with after a while.

I did use keys, but got a gamepad, was a cheap alternative and is ok.

My wheel wont work properly under vista (64bit) It wont recognise the brake pedal and the throttle is on recognised to about half way. Ive tried installing the Windows XP 64bit drivers but they dont help.

Works fine under GPL demo :(

Ive just got a wheel now :D

Not an amazing wheel, but does the job and has FFB :).

Im amazingly shite with it though.

Lol rapid, just learn one track... and set your car up soft, with quite abit of under-steer. Once you get a generally good feel using keys you'll be fine.

Its just the corners where turning and breaking is needed, they are so difficult with keys.

I suggest you just run Monza constantly, with some 8-18 wing setup, just so you don't oversteer
