yeah it is default. i get reallt bad stuttering at birmingham. its fine at every other circuit though. tryed dx7 last night but i found it works much better in dx9 mode.

dx9 doesnt even show up in the config panel for me, only 7/8, am I missing something, post a screenie of that menu maybe?

its the config utility in the rfactor install directory. You're not missing much anyway theres hardely any noticable difference between dx8 & dx9

Simply means your graphics card doesn't have DX9 capabilities. I'm guessing you've got a GF 4x00 TI or something?

It'll be DX8 too I'd imagine. I certainly doubt it would be able to run DX9 graphics at a decent level. DX8 is just as near the same visually apparently anyway though.
