Isn't that that one site that thought we were preparing for the end of days? I bet they think the apocalypse has started then.

Looks pretty much the same here. Shows how redundant the Netherlands actually are. :p

Look how much snow there is on the roof deck table:

Poor Mortal in the middle of his summer. ;)

We've got about the same as Vader here - perhaps a touch less now.

I've also got a 2 foot icicle hanging outside my bedroom window. Can't say I've seen that before in the usually wet Britain.

The other day a road nearby me was closed so they could clear all the icicles off the bridges :p!

Not a common sight in the UK... unless it's April at Donington and you're looking at Dave Ellis's beard.

Keep in mind you can't see the top there - they go up a touch higher. It doesn't look it (wide angle shot taken in landscape doesn't help), but the longest is 70cm (or 27 inches) and around 3.5cm (an inch and a half) wide at its widest. I can't recall seeing an icicle half that size around here before.

A look at some of the smaller ones in the background:

That snow we've had since New Years day (though an inch or so fell yesterday morning), so obviously there's not much on the roofs now. There's still a good 3-5" on the untrodden ground, but it's melting slowly too. There was 6-8" on New Years day.

Impressive icicles Gav. Shows how long it's consistently been cold for, I guess.

Where I am there's been mini-icicles hanging from the fenders and even number-plates of some parked cars, but no decent-sized ones, no point really putting any photos of them up :P
And the snow's been lying here without melting since the middle of December - very unusual.

I'm in the UK and we've had no snow since the 22nd December. It's hard to believe that some areas of the country have had so much. I guess we're the lucky ones! No cancelled trains or chaotic roads.
