Not a common sight in the UK... unless it's April at Donington and you're looking at Dave Ellis's beard.
Keep in mind you can't see the top there - they go up a touch higher. It doesn't look it (wide angle shot taken in landscape doesn't help), but the longest is 70cm (or 27 inches) and around 3.5cm (an inch and a half) wide at its widest. I can't recall seeing an icicle half that size around here before.

That snow we've had since New Years day (though an inch or so fell yesterday morning), so obviously there's not much on the roofs now. There's still a good 3-5" on the untrodden ground, but it's melting slowly too. There was 6-8" on New Years day.
